honestly i think most of the issue lays with 8e

8e is simpler than previous editions and easier to get into sure, but its also balanced like complete garbage

9e seems to be trying to breath some life into the factions as well as generaly make everything feel useful by making most weapons deadlier

the big thing that killed 8e for me was the lack of armour facings and the rest of the vehicle changes

which meant outside of certain vehicles tanks kinda struggled, because it was about number of attacks instead of armour and positioning

idk if 9e brought armour facing back but i do know they massivley changed how tanks work

My skitarii are sent down via weighted jumps <read strapping a block of concrete to your chest> into the depths or they are sent down via armored transport tank/malcador

The ruststalkers from Sekhmet prime swim together with the Serberfish, as they have mechanical snake bodies

They often combine the two latter forces into a BFG deployment; breach, flood, gore

This is where a massive torpedo is launched at an enemy ship, carrying a massive load of water in which the stalkers and infiltrators wait together with the fish, as soon as the water flows out so does their deadly tornado of blades and guns

Your best bet is probably led belcher, several washes of nuln oil

then some high lighting

then do finer highlights with ironbreaker or stormhost
