yeah but its equal all the way around so its fine
i mean that its balanced

if you want man ass
surely the male counterpart also needs that weird fucking overly large cup, no?
Oh no sigvald NOOOOOO
ya feel me?
yes
It's p much a given the boobs aren't like. Actually reaching the ends of the boobplate so like
Designing some armour for ladies? Female torso armour specifically? Welcome. Get a year of streaming some of your favourite creators and HQ documentaries for under $15 at http://curiositystream.com/jillbearup
Boob armour, or boob plate, or lady armour. Or fantasy lady armour, come to that: how does it work then? Let's have a look at Wonder Woma...
The assplate should also be far larger than the actual ass
When it comes to female armour I just take my lead from this
Tbh just make it a normal boobcup and you're fine. Anything not massive and anime'ish is cool
Female stormcasts and sisters pull it off really well
so does Mandolorian armour
With how men inserted massive cockplates onto their plate armour, exaggerated proportions that aren't entirely accurate aren't totally uncalled for tbh
if its meant to go in battle
yeah, just cover your vitals and its cool
on an actual battle-ready person
Its bad yes?
not someone who will sit in a tent and have their portrait painted
NO boob cups are allowed
I imagine that having like
in reality yes
A weird hollow area around the boobplate isn't entirely optimal
like
Given I assume the clothes u wear under armour would smoosh the boob anyways
in 40k where they are not wearing camo, using silly tactics and have pipe organ tank rocket launchers, it'll be fine
if they're on plate armor... the boob is invariably empty and just an embellishment
and like
why do you have to sexualize armor in such stupid ways
honestly its probably just filled with more ceramite
everything about the sororitas is iconic I agree with you
flat sororita armor would be just bad
no???
Yes?
gothic armor sororitas???
So...?
they literally wear sallets
Thats the entire reason they literally have boobplates
they alreafy are?
and corsets
panzercorsets
The older sob models do sorta look like they have bowls on their chests
Its a lil less dumb now but
yes
Gothic armour is overrated tbh
nou
look, i like tits as much as the next horndog but they don't belong on armor
they belong in armor
Though I might just be traumatised by how badly gothic Knights sucked in med 2
safely protected beneath a practical cuirass
A rational stance
they belong on
Honestly tho, if u see a lunatic zealot walking towards u with one of the most powerful infantry weapons ever given to a human and the first thing u think is "bOoB pLaTe" that will probably also be the last thing you think
nvm
and they belong on my face obviously
there we go
Mood
the sororitas asked for both and they got both
a lunatic zealot would realistically not be thinking about what makes her tits look great
she'd be thinking about how to maximize her killing capacity
"realistically" in 40k
and having tits on armor doesn't contribute to it
i'm all for them having tits on ceremonial armor
but def not on battle ready stuff
I imagine we can all agree that the high heels on SoB are wholly inexcusable tho
I know that what you are arguing makes more sense but you are arguing in a universe that is specifically made to NOT make sense
Though that said, someone who can fight wars in high heels is to be feared
Maybe it's a flex
I enact the rule of cool to override your sensible gothic armour preferances
Ugh no
ture
they're just a bad misconception from like... the 60s
*true
Thats literally your bias speaking
if it was that hated it'd have been removed LOOOONG ago
but its still there and pristine as ever so
Gonna come to blows over chestplates

well because some people have no fucking taste and yet somehow got into design
that is true
it's the same as concrete block buildings
yup
they are still being built
f*ck I hate those
Do u have an emoji of the haggard ass :o metal SoB
they're objectively, unanimously stupid and depressing
I wanna gaze upon their visage
and they are still being built even today, and painted horrendous colors
Theres a difference between a dumb concrete building and a tiny plastic model though
i will not stand for unrealistic armor
its like someone took the worst most depressing parts of 60s taste, combined them with pollution and made a building out of it
WE ARE IN 40k ALL OF THE ARMOUR IS UNREALISTIC
true
EVERYONE WEARS SHOOT ME COULOURS
okay shoot me colours are actually NOT so bullshit when you're fighting in close range
napoleonic armies? hello
the eldar and the custodes have ****** trafic cone helmets
BUT THEY ARE IN THE FAR FUTURE
THEY HAVE SNIPERS
Yeah lol
LIKE RANGERS AND SCOUTS AND RATLINGS
that's a whole another thing indeed
there's a whole regiment who wear silver masks that block, like, 50% of their vision, and yet are described as having some of the best accuracy around
but even then camo is established as a thing that DOES exist
THE TAU USE SENSIBLE TACTICS AND STILL PAINT THEMSELVES IN EVERY COLOUR OF THE RAINBOW
(nearly)
shoot me colors are worn largely by space marines among imperial units who DO get into melee a lot and need to be able to pinpoint their own men
guardsmen often have very sensible colors, no
so when someone does not use camo, there is no point expecting them to use sensible armour either
oh yeah, the Mordians dressed in blue and red are so fucking sensible
or the uh
the fuckers in red coats
and white hats
the mordians are specifically pointed out as being an exception not a rule
That applies to sororitas and SM I accept them both as being equally ridiculous and I love them both as they are
preatorians
mordians wear bright blue
MORDIANS ARE SPECIFICALLY POINTED OUT AS THE EXCEPTION
hell, the Armageddon folks wear beige trench coats in a warzone filled with dirt and metal
Tbh iirc in fluff tau are meant to adjust the colours of their armour according to the area in which they're fighting. Like, if their Sept colour is white but they're fighting in a desert they'll paint it a sandy colour
the Catachans wear bright red headbands
So begone
its not an exception tho
and are mostly shirtless or sleeveless
We're still the reasonable ones
that was still way too bright a blue
there's a group known as the Red Cowls because they wear bright red robes into battle
ah ok fair enough I didn't know that
yeah
dress uniform or combat
combat
i call bullshit
it is bullshit. its still there tho
I, for one, welcome our pink overlords
they also use laslocks
fucking
swag
wow
I say this in the absence of any apparent pink overlords cus I can spot them coming from four miles away
and i still hate boob cup plate
it's not even cool
it's not sexier than regular armor, the opposite in fact
it's just shit
everyone is wrong
I do airways lowkey appreciate when fem characters don't have it. Like, I don't hate it but idk
sexiness of armor will always be debatable
It's refreshing to just see ah yes reasonable armour
it's why ceremonial armor has had so many different types over the years
armor is sexy because it's armor not because it enhances your secondary sexual characteristics
dick armour

^
yes
they weren't ubiquitous
guess what SOB armour is?
look, the sororitas armour is ridiculous, u can either love it or hate it for that.
but they were used
err, definitely not ceremonial armor as they are shown fighting in it?
100% ceremonial
The one true valid form of armour is saxon chanmail, bedecked with hacksilver, talismans and cloaks
i did say before, i am OKAY with the boob cup version being used for purely ceremonial purposes
it's dress uniform
Plate is for cowards
but not on the battlefield
space marine shoulder pads are ceremonial
something about that one line in TTS where allarus terminator armour is as sexy as wearing nothing
They literally bring the corpse of their founders to the battle in a ceremonial gravity-bed
so yeah
its ceremonial af
everything they do is kinda that
in 40k there is no difference. The battle is a cerominy
both in lore
^
and on the tabletop
just cause people wear it into combat doesnt stop it being ceremonial
that's bullshit again
I meaaan
written by someone who knows fuck all about fighting and combat and anything
its not actualy
If it's worn to combat its not ceremonial armour. It's combat armour with ceremonial significance
YES YES IT IS. but that bs is an inherent part of 40k
ceremonial garb worn to combat happens often in history especially among religious sects
I am no expert but I know more than fuck all
Not in my canon™️
exactly
you CAN wear ceremonial armor into combat but both dress uniform and ceremonial armor are designed specifically with the intent not to go into combat.
which means not that they're totally ineffective
but that they're suboptimal
and usually they will be made with the thought in mind that a more optimized version for combat is being made, if it's needed at all
okay but there are people that do not understand that
see: religious armed groups who want to have a force that represents them
not necessarily an effective force
but one that displays their colours and their ideals through form
again afaik SoBs are not a force for prolonged siege warfare, sniping and shit.
they go to close quarters, wreak havoc
sign me up
bright colors as such are more excusable
if every military decision was done through logic instead of through tradition we wouldnt have had ww1 as a trench war
or 7.62 as a standardised round
The custodes is extremely pretty tbh
TRUE
Ceremonial ammo size
and if your entire purpose is to go into battle and wreak havoc, after 10k years you'd have figured out that your armor shapes should be optimized for battle
astartes and terminator pauldrons
not gonna change unless its plastic marines
symbolism is power in 40k
YES
and how do tits and heels symbolize overwhelming power in battle, then???
80's
Cuz they daughters of the emporer

Man all faust is trying to argue is that its dumb that SoB battle armour is so weirdly suboptimal
And we're getting the weirdo faith powers brought up
cause everything SOB related is suboptimal
Life is suboptimal
they should have a normal cuirass that sits at the waist for mobility, at least space marines have their armor cinched at a reasonable spot
we agree. but believe that it should remain a part of their charachter. plesae correct me if i do not speak for u
The power of this fleur de lis nipple shall deflect heady ordnance
if their faith is strong enough
tbh, it is dumb, but so is the fucking shape of space marine power armor in general. like, why do Space Marines have weird boot things?
space marines should be naked
oh i hate those also.
Because the emperor wills it
Tbh good point why is that a thing
or why do Bolters not have a stock?
i MUCH prefer what the custodes get
that is reserved for custodes
Their legs are b I g
power armour dampens recoil
why do space marines have weird abb armour on some models

but like with space marines it's at least the silhouette
even still, a stock would help with aiming
or why do they wield fucking chainswords???
because the Sanguinary guard know how to make an entrance
Ab armour = just male boobplates
lmao
Optimal
The emperor shall guide your shot
lmao
yeah
some do
it's true
abs and pecs

U could peck an eye out
take those off and use them as the caps of missiles
Reminds me of those like
the only thing that stops me from bashing sm armor is that at least it's an aesthetic that works. and it's like, it's such a mess you wouldn't even know where to start. whereas boob cups? obvious glaring mistake that can be corrected on otherwise more reasonable armor
as in, like, assless chaps?
Old pointed bras from the 60s or smthn
The sob's are equipped with ballistics
Parry this you filthy heretic
astartes cannot reach anything above them and their vision behind them is restricted by their power packs
and don't get me started on terminators
yep
rip neck
Ceremonial shoulderplates
Hunchy boy
their helmets also prevent them from looking down
Y'all ever just breaks spine
So they can't even look down on their foes
of course
Honor til death
thats why they get stombolters
Terminators look up to the eldar
they can't f*cking aim
They are if it makes my joke work
also terminators can see about 30 degrees left and 30 degrees right. r.i.p situational awareness
the bucket helm is affixed to your shoulders and you have another helmet underneath it
you would normally have another helmet under the bucket helm.
a skullcap was worn beneath it.
he means for terms
or you are a named charachter and have only the bucket helm
yeah i know he does
more like
you have a bucket helm and a scaffolding over it
which prevents you from executing (already poor) head rotation
yeah that's a better version of what I said
much better
I'm just imagining the assault cannon rattling the terminator's head around with the recoil and I can feel the headache from here
reminds me of the one cart with the minigun right above the driver's head
plating shut the side of my malcadors to prepare them for the proper hover treatment
same
oof
I'm wondering what I should start collecting once I finish the actual painting and assembly of this army of Squats
Like do I move onto a Chaos army, or do I keep rolling with abhuman regiments
ah yeah the Invader ATV i think
Also it should be called a quadbike not an ATV. ATV: all terrain vehicle. the ATV in the rules (as I remember them) notavehicle
Armoring up my malcador sides for grav mounting
nice
in all fairness nobody wants to stand within looking down distance from a termie
probably get stomped very quickly
true XD
all terrain vehicle? an atv THAT low? that wouldn't survive our roads
Le Gasp
emote pls
i currently only have the relatable expressions of my sergeant like
"what's ahead of us but more shit?"
and "god let it end already"
looks great as usual
when you see the booty
Draw the poor man a helmet next time, two sids of his face are busted
oh fuck knows where the idiot left it
it's probably lying in a ditch with a hole in it tbh
i chose not to draw him with helmet or field cap here because i like drawing his hair though
GW just caused me to pay half again for a box of Space Marine Bike Squad
they had removed that model from their site, made it seem like it was out of production, so I went to ebay to buy one, there was only 1 left, for $20 extra, so I got it, and the just this morning received an email from GW about my question of the status of Bike Squads, and they said that they weren't out of production, just temporarily delayed and taken off, so I just wasted an extra $20 for nothing
Finished a custom Allarus Terminator for my Custodes army I'm working on
Super late but it actually goes deeper than that. AOS Bel has normal human skulls on his wing chains but if you look closely on 40K Bel, some of those skulls have service studs or bionics. It's a really neat touch.
and the arms too, but that might just be for preview
am i the only one who like hand down more than point hand?
he just looks infinitely more badass like this
kek
O wew. I didn't notice. That's really cool.
Instant good boi points for belakor
OH SHIT A 40K MODEL? I honestly thought it was an AoS model.
its both
I knew it
it's convertible
When the best 40k mini is only a good tier AoS one
It's made for AoS
But as with the usual daemon things
AoS design team feeds 40k their good work
Well 'made for' as in, made for Be'lakor's plot and by the AoS team
Kinda like how the Keeper of Secrets was made with the Hedonites release, but is of course usable by 40k
Also speaking of models I gotta wait for the dollar store clay to dry on my Cadian model. And prepare yourselves, because it’s that to rival the Rouge Trader days.
"can I copy your homework"
it does look more aos than 40k
40k design team must be wiping their brow as AoS carries daemons, another not-space marine faction they don't have to worry about
As an AoS player
My review of the battletome is "why the fuck did you make all these cool mortals if you literally didnt do anything with them in the battle tome"
Legit
Oog, Hedonites did get nerf batted pretty hard too, didn't they?
Not nerfed just rebalanced to not be incredibly unfun to play as and against
Ahh yee
Depravtyi generation feels a lot better
Yes the locus of diversion got changed and isnt as powerful but now its fun
Instead of "of you didnt make your save, so you dont get to fight back now....die"
Very nice
My pprobem is
Not a single stratagem is focused on the mortals
Theres no support for the mortals really
And
The new shooting units are good, but any strat that effects attacks kinda forgot to include the shooting units
So theyres literally no support for them at all
Slaangors
Are a joke
They dont even have the "beast of chaos" keyword so you cant use anything from that battle tome for them

I did some numbers, chaos warriors are a better choice if you wanted to mortals than the pain bringers or twinsouls for competitive purposes
Aos Design team (Chad doge) : We're going to remake this undivided chaos daemon lord as majestic and terrifying as possible
40k Design team (domge) : We should do another primaris lieutenant but with more scopes so he is cooler
I like to imagine that it was AoS team that decided to put the dead primaris down as part of the conversion
Nah they looked at the mini and they said : damn it looks as basic as the guardiands and tyranids they used for terrain for heroes, we should pick that
SDFN
Every like
3 weeks, AoS comes out with a new release that makes me go
"Oh I should build that faction too"
I can only imagine how Powerful 40k would be if it followed the same formula
I think I understand now
They must have a mole at GW at recruitment HR that's whole job is to make sure GW doesn't get too strong else they take the UK entirely
And everyrhing else is "thatd be cool to collect if the models werent old and shitty"
GW should and MUST own the entirety of britain by 2026
AoS for me is "of fuck thats another army i want to collect"
Just freehand the borders later
Story repeating itself again by Ireland doing a huge air bubble
Now after seeing that new Be’lakor model, i want to start gathering and collecting chaos, but i still have such a backlog
Inquisition emoji? Who called the inquisitor? I'm definitely not joining chaos
I swear
👀
damn, that is pretty gnarly work
thank you, that's the intention
good stuff
pure lineart in hd too
Ooo...
ooh ah ooh ow my bones
Nice.
The first of many stubborn flashlight holders. How'd I do?
green
a quick drybrush with lighter colors may really work here
Looks good, my suggestion would however be to maybe highligh some of the edges of the lasgun and uniform if u have some lighter greens
just to pick out some of the edges and details
some examples from my wip stuff
the red armoue is highlighted on edges, the grey uniform is drybrushed
ofc up to you if u wanna spend the time to do this for every guardsman (trust i did it for 50 and i still don't know if it was worth it) but hope this helps
It's p easy to quickly highlight big batches of models if u just whack them with a drybrush
Works well for me
nice colors
thx
Why did you post a close up of your fingers?
Perhaps there is a light at the end of the tunnel?
Jokes on you, that's a bit that decorate the base for a new primaris model
;-;
It's another tyranic veteran primaris sike
Its gonna be a new AoS model

That does remind me of nid tails
Tyranids need that love rn
Too little info
But legit, hopefully its a nid release and not just 1 model
We know GW. Its gonna be 1 model.
Guard moment
Did they even tease the new necron releases with rumor engine stuff?
one thing GW might do for moneys, is make all the horde troops choices like the recent poxwalkers
nids certainly have hoardes so it's possible you'd get a few releases
You mean the heavy necron destroyers Dilara ?
szeras was in a rumour engine i think
Or their new monolith ?
Oh basically any new model they got from their updated range
if they did it like that id have some hope for nids
even though i kinda doubt GW would do something like that again for the next 10 years
I mean the necrons got a lot of new minis
24 releases without counting the new flayed ones
Yeee its just that i doubt they'd do anything like that again anytime soon
especially for xenos
with primaris it can be any day of the week
You know, the tail couls also belong to some new daemon models. Since AoS usually releases more than just a hq, could be Be'lakors lot
Kinda like how Sigvald came with the new slaanesh models
Please can we clone the AoS design team and make them do 40k minis ?
i did say its proba demon
I mean, we have had cool releases. The void dragon and the silent king come to mind.
And AoS has had some that are hit or miss.
Yeah but the average of AoS is far more solid
- GW feels obligated to give us atleast 30% of all 40k releases to be primaris
And I hate it
More like 60% at this rate
O lord
Hopefully the new necron range means that the xenos as a whole will get some more love.
Unlikely so far
GW everytime a xeno player gets his hopes up:
I just want consistent tau melee.
All I want for christmas is a non-relic version of the fusion blades.
I dont think GW knows what to do with the tau on a rules level
Iirc the new codex stuff got previewed by a high tau gamer and he didnt like it
They don't have a melee or psychic phase, so they either make their shooting busted or suck ass.
It just seems like a nightmare of a design since new players should play factions that use as many of the phases as possible.
gotta give them road blocks, the melee doesn't have to be good, just able to soak/hold up units
Honestly 40k just needsa revanp of rules in general. Less crunch more fluff good
Its why AoS probably has the best TT of any setting
Legit every army has whacky "op" abilities which are fun and fluffy
Yeah. I don't personally like sisters, but I like the miracle dice mechanic.
Yeee! Newer armies are getting more interesting
Those and orders for IG are probably some of my favorite rules.
AdMech canticles and Genestealer ambush are a step in the right direction I think
I find the command protocols of necrons a bit underwhelming to be honnest
Quite hard to have them pop at the right moment a few tools to help you do so
But I like the concept of it
One of the big reasons Im shifting my play army to GSC is because, imo, they have the most fluffy army ability in the game
And its Neat
I am not super good with necron command protocols. What's the deal with them?
And a bunch of stratagems that revolve around it
Yep
Imagine having a flavorful army system that's fun to use. cries in markerlights
is markerlights actually a term for the tau laserpointers in 40k?
Yep.
i always thought it was a joke since it sounds so... Not-Sci-Fi lol
but hey if it works
Imagine having to roll to aim a laserpointer.
you mean like ig?
But you get checks palm free overwatch too!

Very exciting
stuff like tihs makes me glad i dont play tabletop
i dont even know what any of this means
DKFDSJ
Meanwhile, in AoS, Daemons of Tzeentch getting 9 free-set roll dice, like divinity wizards, a daemon summoning system, and "Agents of Anarchy" goals
You have to define which protocol will happens at which turn before the battle and you can't really change them once battle started.
So if you have a command for turn 2 that improve your melee but you failed to charge, it is essentially useless and you can't do anything about it
Or Starborn Seraphon and their "We teleport constantly" memes
That sounds cool if it works, but that seems a bit rigid.
I have a hard time thinking of really cool, flavorful rules for tau at this point.
Like, I can't think of something flavorful enough with tau lore that would work on the tabletop.
theres nothing
Think the other way around, make rule ideas, then justify fluff after
tau boring and stinky
That's how GW does it iirc
Well, the little amount of lore we get for them now makes it harder and harder for me to disagree.
Phil Kelly about to make a ethereal eat a baby
Oh God. Phil Kelly is a nightmare.
His writing is part of the reason people see tau as mary sues.
I can't look at Kais the same ever again.
haha
I was hyped for the Farsight books, but after reading them, I wish they were never written.
idk why but that meme never gets old
It's pretty golden
tau are meant to be this young plucky upstart faction who try and punch far above their weight
and think they are super sly, but are mostly getting by because people arent paying attention
its literally stealing cookies from the cookie jar
and i love that idea
Farsight Enclaves are one of the few factions in the tau that understand that.
its just every time its delivered they fall flat
GW's continual delivery of "If you're not human, you're bad."
Oh I mean bad in the "Sucks" kind of way
its the just
Ex: Eldar
weirdness of how it is handled for tau i guess?
its inconsistent, and sure GW are known for inconsistencies but they tend to have a base layer for a faction that is a set foundation to work from
i think the issue is making a faction based around political intrigue work in a combat tabletop wargame
I mean Tau arent the Covenant either
people act like they got a "no other race so kill em all" policy
theres a contradiction there that rears its head every time someone touches the lore
I just got tired of things like "A single Ghostkeel unit fucks up an entire chapter" or "Bravestorm is actually able to survive outside his suit." These things make no sense lore-wise.
i think this comes about because there is divergence within the race but they have handled it weirdly
old one eye is still alive
Well damn
FDHNF
KDFSFDS
lmao
proud
correct me if im wrong
but when u setup tau you choose a caste
as their sort of equivilant of chapters/regiments right?
Yeah.
alright
Including the Enclaves.
so it is full sept worlds
in which case im unsure where the confusion comes from, because a lot of the divergent thought is world dependant
i.e. the sterilisation thing from Jericho reach
It's because most of the divergent stuff comes from new lore + septs that aren't actually playable
Like
Jericho's reach can only be found in that ttrpg sidebook FHJNJFN
yup
i guess tis the 15 hours issue
tjeres a single battlefield where guard live for 15 hours
now thats the lore for all guard since
P much
The memes are embraced at this point
i think my issue with how tau are handled is they are shown in 1 of 2 ways
one is this divine empire almost, where they have been right in most of their guessing and have made a net gain across all of their moves despite the oponents they take on, and have only brough improvements to an area
if they arent shown as such then its the complete other side of the spectrum
brain slug n all
which like
there can be that divergence within the faction, but thats never what it is
It's because you have early lore, and then phil kelly grimderpification era. And instead of reconciling the two, they just fucking bashed them together like the circle going into the square hole
its either shown as a whole one way or the other
The big problem is the ethereals I think.
The funny part is that Ethereals have been depicted as just straight good guys too.
Aun'Shi is probs the best example.
Aun'Shi is a special case overall.
So whatever GW does, they now have to reconcile the fact that there are good ethereals who live.
Really ?
Even Farsight likes him.
"Kill yourself"
That's not what a good guy would say
Most ethereals are shown as either incompetent or outright dicks.
Even Aun'Va was, on average, a good dude.
Atleast until the aunva kys incident FHJNFN
But yeah, there's alot of ethereals, it seems there could be divergence within them
They even disagree on things
I mostly remember how they felt about Farsight's actions before he ditched the empire.
Whenever he got close to pushing the orkz back, he would be told to stop for no good reason.
And the first time he followed these orders, it ended up in disaster.
In Last of Kiru's line, it probably has one of the better depictions of a ethereal not being a mustache twirler
In which Aun'Va genuinely like, cares for and helps Shadowsun through her sisters' deaths
He pretty much just seems like Caring Grandpa.mp4
That book also says tau blood = blue which is mildly hilarious
imagine having copper based blood
based
It's colbalt.
this post was made by the superior iron based blood lifeform
Men of Iron?
They look great!
Heresy, but i like them
the girls are at it again
'-'
marble would suit them
Very nice
I'm not sure if I'm going to be doing the Base,
if I do, I guess I could try to make some Magma
i do some shitty art '^'
I like
hooo , is it true ?!
take my love !
Not bad, really
Looks neat
that is nice
I know we've talked about it in here before so im letting yall know that Clip Studio Paint is on sale right now for $25 USD
Nows a good time then!
blood crusher finished
Blood for the blood god!
Waiting on that May info release 😩
Hmmh... I wonder would've it look more gruesome if that banner had pale skin on side where the symbol is
So I was thinking , as IG i'm planning to go with a battalion and a speahead detachment, batallion going for agile warriors and disciplined shooters and have the speahead go spotter details and gunnery expert.
My batallion would have a flanking unit made out of 2 command squads with plasmas and one of the commanders to give them the sweet double plasma and maybe enjoy having 8 guys going with 32 plasma shots to anything too threatening
Army 's ready and in the suitcase, I'm ready its gamer time
good luck?
I pray it doesn't suck too hard
I have some tanks, I have some infantry, my bullgryn deathball, it should be enough
alright, well, have fun
so uh
Plans for my malcador creeping to a halt due to sponsons not having room thanks to the turbine idea
Humm
Is anyone running a 40k rpg on roll20? I could use a game on my day off.
I got a friend who play at Rogue Trader
see the old design was so much easier....
why do i have to want to go more dieselpunk
Looking for a white primer, is army painter matt white primer any good?
Its in stock at a local little store and was thinking of picking it up
Corax white for me is the best
Yeye, i would get it but its out of stock online and the only gw shop is in the middle of town centre, where there is no parking :P
Oh
FML
afraid i can't advise, i only use black primer
@vagrant siren it is not bad. you may need to do a few passes if they are bigger models
also what are you working on that is white
Nothing in particular really, just curious on what peeps here think abt it
army painter stuff has worked for me reliably, haven't tried white primer from them tho
I did a small 500 pts of snow kroots with it
personally i'd favour light grey the vast majority of the time anyways, unless the model is gonna be vast majority white anyways. do have a friend who's been thinking of experimenting with like, headass priming individual limbs and stuff in white by themselves and attaching them to the model primed in black or whatever
cus if the colour scheme has both super dark colours and super bright colours doing it in all the same primer is a pain in the ass
my bud does that with his ultwe. I cannot fathom gluing a primed model.
So something like grey seer? Since after a bit more searching i found one at my local little store ™️ not GW ™️ ©️
yea i think grey seer would work pretty well, it's used a lot for contrast paints
what kind of colour scheme are you going for?
Honestly any, im thinking about grabbing some rubric marines and doing some chaos. I'm still half-new so i'm just trying to get a general consensus
(Sorry if that made no sense at all, english is my first language but i suck at it)
! makes sense! Rubric marines should be fine with a black or darker primer imo, their normal colour scheme is like uh. dark blue and gold-ish right
Marissa, espagnol ou francais?
The colour of the primer should depend on what you're painting over it. Like, it varies, not one colour is always the best
So a little bit of grey, and some white. Got it! I'll pick some up then. I already have a black for those darker ones
I wish. I wish
Well like Ratty said you can't go wrong with light grey
Flex tape primer
So, despite the fact that I've yet to finish painting my Salamanders, and that I'm currently $100 below my budget, I'm already looking at the possibility of getting a 2nd army, kinda want the Tyranids, and a unit I really want is a Biovore, I remember some people complaining about them, just how are they?
In 8th edition they were pretty strong, dunno how they are in 9th though.
Ooh, can commanders give plasmas double the shots? I thought FrfSrf was only for lasguns
Thats right thats a mistake of mine
I meant the reroll 1 for the sweet overcharged plasma
Oh yeah, its all coming together now
Venomcrawler ?
Yee
is that a cabal phalanx? where did you get that?
those are some nice Salamanders
beautiful
That is indeed one of our “good friends” the 800+ pound War Rhinos that blow up planets and moons for getting in the way!
And as to where I got the files from, BAM!: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-destiny-cabal-phalanx-2395
With one of the biggest games of the century just around the corner I decided to model the
Iconic Cabal Legionnaire from Destiny. The entire model was created inside Zbrush from primitives.
Cabal are a large, rhinoceros-like, bipedal race with thick grey skin, a flat nose, conical teeth, and small eyes.Despite being unable to breath the Mar...
my guardsmen and spacebois are there somewhere with space skeletons
@fervent ice is there any good places to research how to get into 3D printing for minis?
Lady of the Commandery Yabo Chao, Weijin’s Venerated Envoy – Portrait by Yugin Maffioli
So Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay previewed some stuff in their upcoming book about Altdorf, which included GW sanctioned art of a Cathayan character. At least we can get an idea of what they're going for from here on out.
Yes, a very Romancing Saga kind of thing with some more fantastical elements
I expect some of the Chinese style myth creatures to be part of it, like temple dogs, kirin and such
Hell yea
Or maybe they go all in with chinese engineering and give them wacky cannons and flamers and stuff with fireworks
Yooo she looks dope
for 4th edition whf rpg i assume?
That would be correct
nice
That's some real nice art
Crazy sith, those are clean
What paints did you use
I’m going to paint winter style guards
@surreal iris
The main thing was WAAAGH!!! Green, then I used Retributor Armor, and Abaddon Black, as well as Leadbelcher. Can't recall what I used for the red off the top of my head, but I also used Rakarth Flesh for the purity seals
How did you get the color so even and flat across the whole thing though
? I dont know what you're talking about, this was my first time painting something by myself, only asking for help with cleaning my brushes. Dont k ow the techniques and suxh
Just finished basing these Dark Angels. I think there down now
Nice work! Maybe use blood for the blood god or red paint mixed with some kind of gloss varnish for the blood next time tho
But thats just me beeing nitpicky for no reason
No it’s fine. Thanks for the advice. Does that make the blood look more shiny or?
Yeah
Ah
Like somebody just got violently murdered
Maybe the next time I grab some Orks I’ll grab some of that and make look right and bloody
What kind of gloss varnish works best for that?
I just went with blood for the blood god, not even sure if gloss varnish+red will even work tbh. Maby red ink and gloss varnish works but honestly im not a reliable source for that.
Ah
Wait a sec il do some research on that
Ok yeah so apparently red ink seem like the way to go
Or blood for the blood god but gw is quite expensive
(Red ink probably too but yeah..)
I need sleep
Bye
Ok. Thanks.
you know what
fuck you windows
if i cant set the new 0 point for the axis rotation
ILL ROTATE THE TANK INSTEAD

Ladies and gentlemen, My first custom Model: A Cadian.
Hey does anybody have any advice on how to paint human eyes on models?
I'm looking at this guy going I cant just leave them blank
white
I typically try to paint the pupil first, and then add the white around it, and then the flesh tone of the face around the whites of the eye
Working outward like this (rather than inward-doing the pupil and whites after the rest of the face) means you have a bit more control over how small you can make the details
There's some tutorials you can probably find on youtube for some examples
So what works the best imo is to paint the eyes black, then white but leaving the black in the recesses and then a small dot of black in the middle for the pupil
Or try to follow this https://youtu.be/ER7f-W-BHVg
Hi all!
The winner of the 10k subscriber prize draw S.B Anthoni picked this subject as his prize.
This video shows my process of painting character level faces on my Warhammer miniatures.
This tutorial is focused on light skin tones, more tutorials on other skin tones coming soon.
I hope you enjoy it and find it useful!
Cheers all! Daz
Brush u...
So I used the GW tutorial for faces and got this so far
Not too bad so far
But Chaplin might have been right to do the eyes first
Heres to hoping I can steady these shaky ol' hands
back to 3d modeling for me
spooky looking stuff
....what is that supposed to be?
Iron men i guess
Elykisis has a custom forge world and is very good at commiting tech heresy
......a tank
Cool to see some art from the warhammer community! I've been working on some Primaris Imperial Fists!
Valrak would like to know your location
I could def give one of the battle brothers a little golden leaf crown to match
ooo another good idea

Well, have finally retrieved the models I left at my parents place, and turns out that I misremembered what I had
I thought I had left a tactical squad that was split in 2, a captain a combi flamer, and a venerable dreadnought
I only remembered the dreadnought correctly
I only have a single tactical squad, the sergeant has a plasma pistol, and the squad has 3 flamers and a missle launcher,
GRRRRRMMMMMGFFFFF
keep sponson yes yes, but want engines yes?
need consideration if not sponson but gun-dakka
hey, is it possible to buy a Sergeant by itself?
no but you can get those singular minis from your local hobby store, their trial minis etc
workin on the torso now
store anniversary models might have them though
Actually I'm going to need to buy 2 boxes of tactical marines anyway, since I made 2 extra flamers, and thus I only have 4 bolter marines anyway
Lost the match against Necrons, am sad now
Dang
Those Ctan shards really are something
Deciever fucks doesnt he? @edgy cipher
Nope it was a void dragon
Well his power to distribute mortal wounds on a 24' radius got me good
Holy fuck
Sadly since I play Ig I coudnt kill it
Sad boy hours
Because bad army unless you soup with top tier like sisters or sm

Oh well my fault for not playing a top tier list
true ork
Admech is pretty good ngl the good thing is they have very little pitfall units
DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA
Its S teir right now. Their fucking shooting is ape shit insane
The only thing stopping admech in most irl tournements is that its hard to afford the reslly good lists that have cropped up on online matches
@edgy cipher I hear you. been playing Inquisition since 5th ed.
Wasn't inquisition broken in 5th ? Because I remember playing against it and having jokaero calling exterminatuses on my face every turn
lol they were good if you didnt cheese it. my pers rules were, no more than 1 rifleman dreadnought, 1 nonkey and dont cheese the coteaz
but psybolt on your chimeras and riflenoughts And crusaders covering your acolyte squads made it for a fun army to play. I won and lost many fun matches.
IG was fun to play with / against
i have found a solution to my UR-025 robot issue
<im using UR-025's as kataphron servitors and i want to replace their guns>
the issue is that im either buying 3 monoliths
or im buying 10 heavy destroyers
or Bits website?
Oh, didnt know that, me, i dont want to play competitive so idc XD
They can wipe super ez right now, best shooting in the entire game atm
i use to do a lot of kroot conversion @hoary ermine. ebay is friend
Harleys are also S tier because of their objective control, super fast speed, and hard to hit nature
im aware how to get my bits dw
i also have access to a lightly illegal 3d folder
And sisters are s tier due to miracle dice being broken right now
Honorable mentions are deathguard and dark angels
All marines are a high A to mid A
oh ok. then if you want to buy the kit, 10 x destroyers offer more bits for future conversions @hoary ermine
Yeah im looking at my optionsw
@vivid rune where are inqui in the meta rn?
Wdym inquisition, like as an army?
yop
Imperial agents are kinda just a soup you throw in guard i assume like they were in 8th, i have no clue i wasnt even aware you could play them by themselves lol
you could until this year kinda.
Huh
now with the whole no more than 3 rule, you are super limited
that is what i was asking. I built my list early 8th then just kept loosing capabilities.
Too cuz i gonna recast them to add xenotech
Ah
It might be fun to soup them with a deathwatch list
And cheaper than souping with guard
@vivid rune I use a bunch of palanite enforcers as my henchmen. they are equiped with bolters and look mean already
Nice
I can't be the only one that doesn't like the way palanite enforcers look
the big circles on their chests and wide stripes on their shoulders
they're too eyecatching for something that doesn't even look interesting
@twilit cliff thats why i want to kitbash them to look like dredd
what did you use?
im honestly thinking if started kitbashing those id eventually just get rid of the model entirely
bar maybe the arms
scratch that, i dont like those bold gauntlets or whatever they have
I... I think they look cool.
and that's fair
Plus I think that Astartes cops are neat.
Probably not the only one, but probably in the minority of people
Literally just printed dredd helmets and the funny sholderpad he has and slap it on
