If not running the normal or lasburst variant it will need a triple power pack extender however

I've been trying to get back into miniature painting recently
I got a new brush and set up a wet-pallete
But my paints seem so inconsistent
Like red paint won't go down and make clean colours
But others will come on to heavy, is there something else I need?

Have you tried shaking the pot before taking paint out? For me, the paints and their like bonding agent tend to detach and the agent rises to the top and has to be mixed

If paints aren't coming through properly then that could be a number of issues. It could be that your wet pallet is too wet and is thinning the paints down too much, ideally a wet pallet should just be moist, not actually wet. Some ppl also make a big deal about using parchment paper, idk I don't use wet pallets much.
There's a sorta sweet spot with paint thinning wise, it shouldn't hold its form (e.g. it should form a cohesive pool, you shouldn't be able to shape it) but it shouldn't be super watery. If it's too thick you run into the paint coming on too heavy, if it's too thin you'll need tonnes of layers (let first layer dry completely, paint the second, let that dry completely, etc) to get a good cohesive finish. If your paint is thinned correctly it should only take two layers, tho that depends on a bunch of factors.
One factor is, like other ppl said, the primer. Black works very well with dark colours but it might be troublesome to get a good flat layer on if you're using brighter colours, cus the shade of the primer effects the layers above it.
And like jeanstealer said, some paints also get fucky when in storage. Some of them don't but if it looks weird when you open the pot then def shake it around until it looks normal again before using it
my personal preference thinning wise it to get the paint on my brush and dip it into my pot of water a few times until it's the right consistency
so long as you're thinning it right, painting in layers and making sure the paint doesn't clash too badly with the primer you should be good. The whole light-colours-being-annoying-on-primer thing is why people hate painting yellow and white

Quick question: I am new to the hobby and want to make a full primaris Blood Angels sucessor chapter. I can't help but feel that if I do not have flying chainswords then I are not representing BA heretige properly. Primaris Marines have no version of the jump pack assault marines. Assault Intercessors just walk and Inceptors are a fire support squad, not close support (you can't convince me otherwise). I make that claim because even though Inceptors are close support in the rules (If I remember correctly) 2 guns, particularly the plasmaguns option, feels like a very stupid loadout for close support. To me they feel more like highly mobile fire support for actual close support squads with jump packs, mele weapons and pistols, which are what I desire to create.
So, to cut a long story short: If I were to put jump packs on assault intercessors and play them as assault marines to fulfil my image of what I want my primaris BA successor chapter to be, is that allowed and or should it be?

i draw deeper scars darker and if they're particularly large put a hint of the stitches in
you can do this in b/w too by making the side that would be shadowed (if the scar is a depression, then it should be in the opposite direction as the lighting on the rest of the body, if it's raised the shadow will fall in the same direction)
