I actually did a test on this not long ago and GW plastic is considered one of the softer and more brittle on the market for scale modeling. It's also not as detailed as a lot of scale model kits.

But I was testing again, Scale model kits not miniatures as they're not that many miniature brands in the market.

A lot of their designs are also meant to break so you have to buy a new model. I've noticed a lot of purposely bad designs like for instance, the void dragon is purposely bad and will actually warp over time

With injection mould plastic you either go hard and brittle or soft and durable/malleable, or try to strike a good balance between the two. I think GW has struck quite a good spot with those because after all the models are meant to be played with unlike scale models

And I don't really buy that they're designed to be broken, rather just an oversight between the model sculptors and engineers who design the moulds

spray it gold, do a pass all over with retributor armor with a brush, then you can shade and highlight it

doing a pass with the brush is important cause then you can go back and fix mistakes, also it makes the later layers stick on better, the spray has a weird finish on its own

Found an MG42, so now I'm planning a Krieg conversion with it and a hang Panzerfaust. I’ll proxy the MG as a grenade launcher frag shot (D3 shots, S4), similar to Guard stubbers on tanks. The Panzerfaust will represent a Krak shot. Thoughts on this?

If you ever plan on doing a Krieg gaunts ghosts conversion, I’d keep it around to represent braggs autocannon

Here it is compared to a regular sergeant's lasgun/stubber. It’s too small for an Autogun, but for a normal stubber, you could trim and glue bits here and there, and it would look the right size. I found it in a 1/35 scale kit.

Yeah the thing with the Krieg is their bases are too small and they lack a commissar as well as the „specialist“ look
