Follow the process

Look at an osl tutorial

Start with white on planes that are emitting light

If you don’t have an air brush you can dab on more thinned down white as emisssion

Then apply a layer of fluoro paint over top

Then go back in with white on the planes emitting light

Shift the hue towards yellow and go in with flouro over again

I would suggest not using fluos because they start to fade/dark within a week of UV light exposure

also most of them are fairly toxic despite companies claiming they arent

Well the starter set is... a... starter box. Comes with tutorials. MDF terrain. Floor mat thingy. Angels of death (7 man space marines) plague marines (7 man chaos space marines). Dice. Tokens. And some booklets for the teams. It's good for starting out but it's only the light version of the rules compared to hive storms full version I like it personally. I think the sculpts of the space marines and plague marines are gorgeous. And it's not too expensive.

However yeah the lite version of the rules is a downside. Which is why I'm trying to grab a hivestorm box or whatever the next big box is that'll come with the rules which will probably come out septemberish

11 out of the 23 combat patrols has the enough miniatures to make one or two kill teams. Although I cheated a bit, some kill teams would be full of troopers with a single captain

How did you do the side guns?

Dark grey base then dry brushed Pro Acryl steel until I get the tone I like.

For the blue, start with a Pro Acryl Bright white. Then use translucent blue to tint it. Then add small amounts of white, blue and purple until the blending is finished.

I have a wet palette formula that will keep paints fresh for up to a week if you want it, its more involved than tap water(which you shouldnt use because it causes pH imbalances with paint)

as long as supplies last

for me (one and only store in wrocław) i was waiting in queue on my day off before the store opened with like 6 other people

think they had a few tens of spures to go around

apparently bigger stores have them available throughought the whole month
