Killteamers assemble I need to clarify how a rule works

Ok so from what I understand when you roll attacks in kill team: rolling 6's means your attack crits, which means your opponent has to save it with a 6 also? (Not fully sure if that's how this one works)

And assuming it works this way, for a weapon like the Deathmark sniper rifle that deals mortal wounds on crit: would you still count a 6+ save as stopping both the base damage and the mortal wound? Or would the mortal always apply right away because the weapon hit was a crit?

You are correct on how the crits and crit saves interact, for mortal wounds, even if you get a crit save you still suffer the mortal wounds

You’ll notice weapons that do mortal wounds have a very low crit damage

I played my first 10th edition game yesterday. Haven't played since 9th and then only on tabletop sim.. . So this was essentially the debut of my iron warrior.
Now I took a nice and fluffy list of chaos lord, MoP, 1 melee legionaries, 1 ranged legionaries, lascanon havoc, reaper havoc, oblit and cuddles the Venomcrawler.
Now I was fighting spacewolves in 1000p game and fully expected to loose.... what I didn't expect was essentially tabling my oponet and winning.

I also didn't expect Cuddles the Venomcrawler to fucking tank the opponents Predator Destroyer who threw EVERYTHING at the Venomcrawler and not getting a scratch

2 lascannons, hunter killer. The big main cannon that had 6 shots at half range and the gods damn stormbolter as well. Not a single wound lost

He should have been dead by turn 1 but the dark gods wished him to live and destroy the thuderwolf cav... which meant turn 2 the longfangs and the Predator (again) threw everything at cuddles to destroy him and just barely managed it... that essentially won me the game.

Turn 3 my oblits game from deerstrike and busted the tank. After that I essentially had no real threat left (of course there was a lot of killing in the background, but this was essentially the game wrapped by turn 3)

After reading Kesh's story I'm debating buying the combat patrol because theyre just that cool. Sadly I dont have an airbrush yet so Im going to wait on Custodes until I can properly do them. (Eons of Battle silver paint with and orange ink to make gold just looks too good!)

It has 8 of 10 of the traitor guard from the bloodied kit, including a sharpshooter, flamer, and a grenade launcher who shares bodies with the butcher so you get 2 specialist’s and an extra chieftain who shares bodies with the corpsman who are both considered vital picks for the team, i started colecting renegades and heretics in 8th so i couldnt care less about weather they are effective or not. Death guard green base, agrax earth shade (old matte one still made they changed the formula) then layer on death guard green again avoiding the edges and bullet holes and scratches, then feather on elysian green towards edges so it gives an uneven look so they still look dirty but in a brighter way, then hilight with ogryn camo

okay so i got a resin model cut off the arms and parts i didnt want used a custodes gaurd arm and pauldren and used a blade champion blade and sentinal blade handle with the hand

i didnt have green stuff or epoxy so i had to basically cut pieces of runner into the plastic i size i wanted to melted it and molded it to the hand to make it look natural

fun fact about slapchop, that technique was made by Tiziano Vecelli (supposedly, mostly confirmed not entirely) in the 16th century, its real name is scumbling. Its been used on hundreds of paintings from famous artists such as Claude Monet and Joseph Mallord William Turner.

You can also do it with way more than just black and white to create more depth and texture.

So if anyone bitches, just tell them it was a technique invented by Italian renaissance painters

btw here is an example of a painting that was mostly done in scumbling

You could probably get some AoS starter sets and modify the kruleboys you get pretty easily. Would help with scale issues BC Orks are like twice the size of humans as far as the scale of most minis go. Might be the best way to get them onto smaller bases BC I know most sisters models are on 28-32mms
