Edge-highlighting is best done with a thin brush, preferably with stiffer bristles.

You want your paint load on the brush to be really light, so it doesn't drip or flow on the panels themselves that you're highlighting.

Rather than the tip of your brush, you're going to scrape the side of the bristles very lightly and carefully along the edge you're highlighting

I think the general rule is 99% isopropryl if you can find it and not to use anything that contains acetone as that will react more violently with the plastic on the mini than it will with the paint

For paint-stripping, use a degreaser like LA's Totally Awesome, or Simple Green

Let the minis soak in there for a good bit. Doesn't have to be ages.

And then take a soft toothbrush to it vigorously.

Kill team is super small scale, I think the biggest kill team is the Nurgle Gellarpox one and that has like 16 minis total, and you take turns doing everything so it plays a little more like chess

You can justify any modifications to your army provided you've got some of homebrew lore for it and even then

If you've heard anything about how Mother Teresa was actually a horrible war criminal and not a lovely saint: that's a pretty core idea the whole of the Sisters are formed on. Just blind religious brainwashing used as a tool to control and abuse the people around and under them

They are a cool faction, like its fine to be a sisters fan, lol, but they're probably the most morally evil faction of the lot when you start digging into the lore

Its not that hard, mini painters just make it sound harder than it actually is and then over complicate it

simply put, learn how to mix skin tones the correct way and not their way, you'll be better off as you can modify it for shading

It's kinda a theme with my EC warband...I also have Ozzy (as a terminator lord, their warlord, based off the Black Rain album cover), Bowie (as an exalted champion, based off Alladin Sane with a bit of Blackstar mixed in), the lead singer of Muse (biker champion designed after his appearance on "thought contagion") , and two members of Rammstein. (Till and Oliver...both terminators. Till has the heavy flamer.)

Imo the lamp setup is just whatever suits nice and has a decent adjustable arm to move it around a bit. The most important part is the globe you choose. I just popped into my local hardware store, found the brightest lumen daylight bulb I could find (white instead of yellow light so you see your colours more true to how they will appear in natural light).

Thanks a lot! My trick is: Apply 2-3 thin layers of white scar on parts i want to have yellow. After it is dry i use Imperial Fist contrast (also 2-3 thin layers) to get the yellow look ^^

I have multiple times, I had one time where the GW paint on it was too thick and it required a 18 month IPA bath

been doing a 5 year test on what chemical is bestt at stripping paint on minis

if you thin it, you can actually just take the paint off with vinegar sometimes because the binder has been destroyed

they dont use the correct chemical make ups for paint to be thinned to ink like consistancies

mix that with the improper set up of a wet pallet you guys do, you get augmented pH levels which makes the binder degrade more

and the paints get gloopy and weird at times

yes, I get a bit into the chemistry of paints

as its incredibly complicated

I do get the frustration of not wanting to have to have a bunch of seperate models for different loadouts, but at the same time I very much get the frustration of "This overlord has a resurrection orb and staff of light, this one has a tachyon arrow and voidsythe. Oh and by the way these 10 warriors have gauss flayers but these 10 have gauss reapers". The game has enough to keep track of without also having to keep track of what everyone's models represent.

But I'm also a T'au main and get the benefit of magnetising being relatively easy for my army, so I understand it's a bigger problem for other armies that can't do that so simply

i think of casual play with strategic points etc. you need folks with OC to gain points etc. and this knight is 460pts... you can get much more stuff with that points... If you want a "troll" list okay just field it but then there is the possibility of loosing the game cuz folks for getting victory points via strategic points are missing.
