Anyone know which stats are better for the ironstrider ballistarii heavy turret?

I’m trying to make these good for sweeping squads but mainly focused on other walker, tanks etc

anti elite infantry is profile 1, anti vehicle is profile 2, would go for the 2 no matter what. -1 AP is weak.

strength 7 also not too strong, will wound t4 inf (spacemarines, necrons,) on a 3, while the str 9 weapon will wound them on a 2, with -3 ap goe sttraight through a lot of armor.

profile 2 - can do good damage on vics, and if shot on infantry every hit will most likely klill.

it depends, of course if u shoot at guardsman profile 1 will do a good job, if you shoot at spacemarines it will do okay, if you shoot at a vic with t8 it will do poorly.

but yeah, if you dont magnetise and need to choose one, i would go for profile 2

at least for casual play, comp other story, but just go with what ur gut tells you. i prefer having a weapon which can kill a tank and massively pulverize whater infantry model, over a gun which might kill some inf or might not and will most likely not scrape any vehicles 😄

Maybe look up a tutorial on transfer sheets, the ulthwe decal stands apart from the paint layer underneath.

They look so tacky if you dont paint over them, imo

It's really not difficult. The reason why they stand out is because of the difference in sheen. Which is why you want to use a decal softener to apply them, so they loose all rigidity and stick closer to the surface, and then apply a coat of varnish over the entire panel/area, so the sheen is uniform. But it will still stick our a bit, because now the sheen of the panel/area is different from the rest of the mini. 😅

Also, if you are weathering your models, do some weathering on the decals as well.

Na it shouldn’t, citadel paints are acrylic too. I use army painter satin varnish on mine and vallejo is arguably better quality.

As someone on the fence about stepping onto the realm of the tabletop, I’ve been doing some research on what starting army I would go with. I really enjoy the lore behind the Blood Angels and I’ve heard Space Marines tend to be the easier faction to pick up. I figured if I was going to try it I would pick up a small pack of incursors, some paints, and just see how I enjoy it.

It only has the German skirt. The elongated (oval, not circle) shape and crest are French/Prussian. The round shape is only for one third-party action figure. Kriegs just have the ear/neck skirt.

the tabletop is crazy unbalanced, the most effective armies arent designed for killing but for capping points

killy armies tend to not work well

I'd suggest playing it on TTS before investing in the game

The best way to ensure that citadel base paints come out smooth is to ensure they are thinned, a little water dropper is perfect to apply a few drops of water into the pot and shake thoroughly

Another recent example, I have been working on this guy for about 2 weeks

Just make sure you are using distilled water, if you are dripping it into the paint pot, since it can promote bacterial and fungal growth otherwise.
