Not that I'm aware of. Imperial knights have special detachment rules to not get screwed on command points since they're all lords of war. Eldar don't have rules like that making an all wraith knight like list not really viable. You can take a wraith construct heavy list but you still need normal eldar troops and an HQ in there somewhere

Cause
Orks are the hordiest of armies (most models being fielded) and cause of that they hit rather poorly (in shooting) but you have a LOT of dice being rolled
Sisters are slightly more than average say in models being fielded (~4th) but they hit nicely and are slightly tankier

If I had to pick for you
Orks. Ive heard orks are really fun to play and ork players aint salty
Sisters are kinda complicated for a beginner
But careful cause orks are probably the most expensive army to field and their models are either kinda new to really old

Also every Ork force should have at least one Tankbusta squad. Unfortunately they got a bit nerfed in the last codex and they're also the only unit still missing a plastic kit so they can be a bit obnoxious to aquire/assemble.

You can absolutely make them mostly from normal boyz with rokkits from other kits. The problem is the Nob, Tankhammer, or dual rokkit pistols can be a tad annoying to kit-bash and most of the other kits only give you one launcher at a time.

I actually tried Zenithal Priming for the first time.
So I first primed it with Chaos Black and then I used Grey Seer (as I wanted to tone down the brightness a bit I didn't go for White Scars) at an aprox 45(ish)-degree angle so some areas would stay darker-ish. (both spray cans as I don't have an AirBrush)

not sure how much of a difference it did, especially since I'm still at the experimental stage.

Then I used Contrasts from the pots.
Creed Camo and Black Templar.
For the metals I used Leadbelcher + Nuln Oil (still using the old pots as I got some left).
the orange is Gryph-Hound Orange ontop of Runefang Steel. It doesn't really show on the picture but that makes the lenses have some reflections to it.

Very simple with few colors as I am a slow painted and trying to minimalize it to speed things up a bit.

Need help guys ! I painted an ultra Marine but when I painted the shoulders and the eagle on the torso, the baltazar gold didn’t turn gold but brown 🥹

i personally don't use balthasar gold. retributor armor IMO is a better gold color for ultramarines in every way and even takes washes better

Not used with Balthazar Gold, or any gold as I don't paint that.
But I would say that Balthazar is a very dark one leaning towards the brown, yeah.
So to make that look better I would think highlight with silver would even it out

but don't take my word for it as like I said I don't paint Gold.
Unless you can cover it and maybe redo with another one, like Retributor Armor as Terrorthane mentioned, try looking up some YT videos where they use Balthazar Gold to see how they do it.

thank you, the verdigris was a thing i wanted to try because a video i saw right before i put my hands on this box. This is like the 6th time i tried it, and looks definetly better than the first ones. the glow effect was by drybrush i think there are better ways to aproach it, but im fairly new to painting (before this i only painted the Kill Team starter box) and i dont feel secure with my technique to do otherway

I think the drybrushing is ok atm, i would maybe try to add a green ink in the recesses and drybrush lightly again to make the contrast more vibrant

also maybe you could try some slightly lighter edge/specific highlights to make the details more visible on the warrior and don't worry to try things it's just paint and that's how everyone progress ^^

That's fair. I wouldn't buy a second one tho but instead use the spare parts to kitbash/convert/scratchbuild a vehicle together to fit the role. I used to build stuff like the box/manual when I just entered the hobby. Eventually enjoyed converting and kitbashing, as it is a great way to personalize your army.
If I would buy 2 tanks and build them like the manual/boxart I'd still recommend magnetizing it as the meta tends to shift over time so you will make the best use of those vehicles instead of turning them into paperweights

The more the merrier yeah. The nice thing about the miniature hobby is that it is pretty tiny, I'm pretty sure anyone has the space for a few more models ;) 6 or 7 leman russ' would mainly come down to the price, but with second hand models being offered cheap as chimps you can create a massive motor pool if you want.
I'd still recommend converting/kitbashing or at least customizing them a bit as it is the best way to turn some heads on a tournament or at your local hobbystore/club. As you said you'd want it to look cool. I've been ditching or cutting up my old armies for newer projects. Lately working on a load of different squat based projects (from guard and admech to CSM, ork or dark eldar proxy armies that are in line with the newest GW rules and regulations for official tournaments and stores). Ideally a mix of old rogue trader models and modern gear to get the best of both worlds. My squat noise marine is a small example of that method. Hoping to finish some bigger vehicles and projects the coming weeks

All gw bits (old lead, resin, plastic) and some greenstuff

Still need to build him some buddies, give it the proper base size (probably elevate it a bit so it is about the same size as a regular noise marine) and paint them up

Working on a guard and an imperial cult (sisters proxy army build out of a load of metal necromunda redemptionists) 2. Working on a Lord Solar build with the old macharius model based on the artwork (giving it some wings and such) while giving it the weapons (and maybe a horse embedded in the base) so it will fit the profile of the new lord solar miniature

I'm sure you will get better over time. We are our worst critic. Making a mini look good is usually a combination of tricks, which I am still trying to learn after being in the hobby for decades. I hope one day I reach the point where I am proud of my own paintjob

Most citadel guides recommend building up from a darker colour, especially if you basecoated with black, because otherwise you tend to need lots of thin coats to get good coverage. Plust it helps establish shadow areas.

Fair enough. If other paints don't stick well, it could be an issue with the primer/surface, else it's the layer paint. As for temperature, I know certain special paints have a hard time with temps below 20 degrees C, so I figure that might be an issue for regular paints too. Never tried painting in a cold room mind you.

I have a question, here I painted the coat of one of my primed DKOK and well...it was painful but I figured it's just how it is...but not only was it really difficult to get a strong enough coat to stick on it...it does not adhere to the primer like at all. Just now after it had the entire night to fully dry, I noticed I can easily scratch it off with my nail

GW's old painting guide has this to say about spray cans, although your specific problem doesn't seem to be adressed here. I have a feeling it's something to do with AP primer, since you should be able to paint over it, even with poorer coverage.
