One thing I discovered while restoring my finecast eldar rangers, don't soak them too long in brake fluid, because my test model is now super bendy and has a hard time adhering to with super glue.

Although the baking soda CA glue trick seems to be working

And a warning to anyone just starting out, avoid resin finecast as much as possible, it really isn't worth it.

they've never really performed well in competitive unless it's something that was brokenly good for a while like iron hands for a while in 8th

mostly because they're the default faction that everyone knows how to play against and they really don't do anything better than some other faction but lots of things decently

also their statistics are oversaturated by having the most players

Second founding imperial fist descendant (so stoic defenders) that got nearly wiped by orcs. Now with primaris marines being a thing, their numbers are bolstered. So if you want a canon faction to have equal parts, or mostly fresh primaris marines, crimson fists are a good choices.

It's a completely different set of rules of how to play.
First off it's alternative turns. So each person activate 1 operative (or more if specifically stated) at a time and each operative have multiple wounds, some above 10 wounds.
You can probably look up some games on Youtube to see how it plays out, more or less.

Been a while since I played any 2019 KT. but since the turns are like in 40k one side could get completely ruined on the first if unlucky.
Ranged teams could get a big head start on turn 1 if there wasn't enough terrain or placements were poor.

yeah. I think he "5 per kit" came due to the preview picture that was posted showcased 5 of them.
however GW tend to not always show more than 5 in each showcase picture to make it easier to examine them.

a ranged KT rarely had to move during the games either, as they were deployed behind cover so they could just stand there and pick whatever pop'd it's head out clean off.

and damn, I remember Harlequins were a real pain. They were jack of all trades and master of them all basically.

started in 2019 KT and played a few 40k games.
but my playstyle is so aggressive that I rarely think about objectives and just goes for the throat. ^^'

I think I managed to get in 1 game of the new KT in before all the Covid restrictions hit.
since then it's been scarce with gaming

but this new KT box really got me hyped again.
I played Necrons and I have always loved the Kasrkin models back when before they got "replaced" by the Stormtroopers.

so this box is a win/win for me.
just gotta have to save up for it.

I like smaller close quarter games. feels more intense than big battles where decisions might not have such a big difference in the large

so KT and the upcoming Boarding Actions feels like it's gonna be good

yeah. what first drew me to Necrons was when they were all slaves to the C'tans with no will of their own.
but they were fleshed out and I was a little against it to begin with.

I haven't read the Necron books myself but I've heard that they are really good.

and that wouldn't have been possible if they were all mindless atomatons

I was extremely surprised GW didn't do remodels of Nightbringer or the Deciever with the launch of 9th and all the new Necron stuff.

Necrons have since the very begining had Egyptian vibes to them.
But I think that since 9th edition they have gone away from that more and instead heading towards a more classic Horror vibe

So I can see great use of that one.

the other one was an, iirc, Plasmacyte Acceleration. not sure what that one can do, but sounds like it might be able to boost the performance of others somehow.

What I'm more surprised to see is the Cryptek, in 2019 KT a Commander unit where there are no other similar in current KT.
Also for a game in close quarters there are a great number of Deathmarks who would prefer to stay at a greater distance.

and if their weapons are still Heavy, as I assume, their movements will be quite limited for a battlefield where one might have to move a lot to get to a room/corridor to be able to see someone

perhaps the Plasmatyce Acceleration will be able to give others a "speed boost" (accelerate) so it might negate the Heavy in a way.

Base coat gray, stipple stripes. Then go clean them up with gray or tan, wash the whole vehicle earthshade for the tan, black on the gray. Dry brush over the top smooth out the color leaving a darker shade at the transition point between the gray and tan. then paint all the details, tracks, lights random bits.

sure, its unconventionell, for example, I'm still not sure, If I really want to paint my posterbois in the scythes of the emps scheme. I like the insignia and black and yellow are a good combination, but every model I've seen looks either like someone painted the one half and forgot the rest or like they wear yellow diapers in a full body version

so advises from someone with rather untypical painting ideas is probably useful to avoid bad outcomes on my own

Typically you take a -1 to your BS(NOT A MODIFIER, STRAIGHT CHANGES UR BS) and +1 to the sv of the targetted unit. Guard have been excepted from this rule, because well, they weren'tdoing well anyway

I am very excited for Darktide. A huge fan of Fatshark and their combat gameplay particularly in Vermintide 2.

I have decided to embark on another diorama project featuring the rejects as displayed on the poster art. Here's the first conversion/sculpt of the zealot I am working on. I do not have a 360 shot of the in-game model and unfortunately do not have a key for the beta test. So only photos and some promo videos will have to do for now.

Planning to work on the Ogyrn or Veteran next. Psyker will be the hardest as there are no current official male imperial psyker that Games Workshop has released as a base. Also I need a 360 view of him.

I have stripped hundreds of figures, some of really heavy enamel paints, if it is very old plastic that had too much plastic glue used on it there can be issues, but this was with mk1 rhinos i bought for less than £5 from ebay that were truely atrocious, so the plastic being brittle was not surprising

I left things soaking in dettol for more than a year and it came out just a little stained/bleached but once painted that isnt an issue, clean the paintgunk off with a toothbrush then rinse/clean with methylated spirits/isopropyl alc, whichever is cheaper where you are both work just as well

that or dish soap, then water, do not use straight water on the paintgunk as it turns horrid and sticks to stuff

not sure how killteam works full but i'm pretty sure these ones are usually specific on what you take, ie everything that's in the box

normal necron killteams are fairly small as far as i know aswell

Base necrons let you take 2 fire teams made up of either. 4 imortals, 4 death marks or 5 warriors. So 8 to 9 modles. so this is about on par with that

This is my second snow army so Ive refined the technique; astrogranite, catachan drybrush, corax white drybrush, flock the base, then valhallan blizzard

I just feel I over wipe off the paint for a very very faint change, usually takes me doing it a bunch of times until it reaches a point im happy with. I guess I just need to just judge better how much paint I can leave on

Or..just dunk everything in Nuln oil and say it is perfect
