They all have fun playstyles that reward creativity

Engie is basically walking artillery with sentries, explosions, and high powered weapons (and the SMG, which is not bad by any means)

Driller is CC in the sense where if you proc elementals(fire, freeze, etc) he shuts down everything shy of detonators or bosses, one of my favorite things to do is freeze bugs then drill them to death, the best you can get with melee in DRG

Gunner is the more "traditional" shooty with a minigun, rocket launcher, and autocannon which shoots explosive shells

Scout is the "mobility" and "accuracy" class with his grappling hooks, high powered flare gun that's stronger than the ones you toss manually, and a lot of his gear rewards accuracy and HVT(High value target) killing

Something to note is that everyone can do the same things, just a little differently, so again, it's ultimately a matter of creativity

The only thing I can say is make sure you have a plan for ranged and gunners. I see a lot of teams focus so hard on crusher/mauler killing they legit get gunned down.

Vet is the one class that can really abuse bolter with survivalist

And not even that much either.

Vet and Scum are the gun classes (but Vet is very hybrid and wants to melee unless you play Helbore Shock Trooper MMF Exe Stance)

On other classes (minus staff Psyker) you should lean more into melee and less into ranged the higher you climb because ammo is going to be scarce

Idk about Oggy after the PBB buff tho

So I'm not sure if they can compete in ranged now

It's not just about ammo, it's also about what allow you to close the distance or kill them. Sub pistol is slept on but is great at gunner., sniper, and shooter removing. Vigiliant autogun can also do it but can be a pain in the ass to aim, you need high skill for it. Hellbore is the goat if you're vet. Bolot pistol is also a great option for everyone. FOr ogyrn, the heavy stubber.

Anyway. back to Havoc. A REALLY good way to practice is to do maelstorms. ROughly the same amount of ranged spam but with less bosses and modifers.

IF you can prevent a wipe via 'everyone got shot to shit' then you're probably ready to start the path to 40.

Any buiild for randoms. Assume all your teammates are built to kill hordes and maulers/crushers and will have aneurism at the idea of having to deal with ranged enemies.
