so you make changes that are then lost to the aether

That’s kinda what I’ve been having. I have to keep selecting a loadout, then I notice it gets unselected and I’m in some unselected loadout void

worst case scenario is that you will have to delete and recreate the offending loadout. you can test if you've resolved the bug by closing and opening the operative window a few times and checking to see if your active loadout is still selected (loadout icon yellow instead of dark green)

Basically if you don't click to select your saved loadout before editing equipment, cosmetics and talents, then none of those changes register in your saved loadout. Meaning if you later select the loadout you usually go with, you get the most recently "saved" one.
