It also should be noted that we dont actually understand what the nature of the hive mind is. Remember a majority of lore is from their victims perspective and imperial scientists.

We get very few tyranid povs. Its possible the hive mind only expresses itself the way it does due to the warp, or that there could be multiple.

The theory I like is that the hive mind is basically you, and the nids are like your cells. A super organism of a sort.

But the fact it reflects in the warp is very very very odd.

So their presence would have not been in the warp until recently, so it implies that the Warp Dimensions are localized at the pancosmic level.
