Switching between melee and ranged is a core part of the combat, but the classes will generally lean into one or the other. Zealot and ogryn goes more melee. Vet, hive scum and psyker can do more ranged etc.

gunlugger? pretty good dmg output but absolutely chews through ammo and has no way to replenish it outside of ammo pickups. this kills the build in havoc mode, where ammo is very scarce. works fine in regular missions as long as you take every ammo pack on the map
