Hello, I am new to this discord channel, but not new to Darktide, have been playing video games since 1982; yes we had those back then, not online, they were the best. I have played thousands of missions in Darktide, I have been treated the worst anyone could be treated, but I still choose kindness and compassion over everything else. I have tried for over 4 years to add friends in the PC world, but my game is broken and unable to work. I am a disabled US Veteran, my only sibling died when he was 16, I was 15 in 1982, so the games(all the games), have become inherent part of my life. I love the 40k Warhammer Universe, I have played other 40k Warhammer titles, including: Inquisitor Matyr, Chaosbane, Vermintide. I play to "help" people, to find "good" people, but they are rare to find.

I tried one Havoc mission, and I lasted 5 seconds, my brain is not "tempered" for those kinds of missions, I help others who "invite" me with some maelstrom, or heresy and even a few damnation in the "meat grinder" , but I am not "forged" for such things, and that's ok for me. I know my limitations in this world; I am here to help, pairing off with a straggler so they aren't left alone, "waiting" for others while they sit in the elevator, and everyone else is gone, so the game mechanics don't kick in and even if they do, that person has someone to watch their back, even if they didn't expect it; mostly those whom I wait for, never "wait" for me, and that is alright because, like "Havoc" and "Auric" takes a certain mindset, so does kindness, so does compassion, and when that lesson in this game is finally learned, then it will come.

Havoc/Auric can be supplemented with some technological and in-game milestones; distraction free, headsets with environmental/spatial sound awareness, complementary DPI settings on your mouse, cohesive loadout, built weapons; twitch reflexes (which can be hampered by RSI/Carpel Tunnel or injury)

Auric is a lot of enemies yeah.

The mindset you need to have is stay with your team and don't run too far forward. If you come in contact with carapace enemies such as Maulers, Crushers and Armored Berserkers. Thats ususally your first sign to back up. Because depending on the weapon you use, it can take a while to kill just one. But with the right build you can easily deal with them.

Like the just a flesh wound penance, when it was public there was at least one person, if not multiple, in every match trying to get it. It was particularly bad with that one because they'd beg ogryns to take the shield and maul to tank for them in an era when it was the absolute worst item in the game
