I only recently kinda got into it if only because I realized there was an armor set for doing Havoc but people being actively bad in a game mode where you NEED to NOT be a burden on the team is just awful. Several runs where we barely made it involved me doing some hard carries as the other were all collectively dead for at least five minutes at a time.
As fun as it is to save the day I don't need that kind of stress, especially on Havoc runs.

I've been running Hive Scum and I really like the setup I have as it's just "justkeepshootingjustkeepshooting" as everything around me dies but I dunno.

Well when Dark Souls 2 first came out weapons broke super fast at the time because apparently your weapon durability was tied to frame rate.
Twice as many frames when hitting something means your weapon was "hitting" something twice as often and thus YEET goes your durability.

I actually still think Dark Souls 2 is my favorite in general because at least it had more of a focus on the PvP which felt most fleshed out along with the best NG+ system. Could get away with generally any gear as it all had a purpose and same for most weapons and spells.

Only real complaint I had was the netcode and how it tracked animations on other players (allowing for some cheeky bullshit that I don't want to get into). But it's FromSoft and they always have shit netcode so... whatever I guess.

Thinking about a Beastman class and a potential ability. Since they're Imperial fanatics for the God Emperor and used as disposable shock troops, they have an ability that turns them into playable poxbursters. Basically strapping bunch of explosives to their bodies before rushing into a horde to detonate. The upgrades version could be "When you die, you explode." So when you get swarmed and fall to a bunch of crushers and elites, you can take them down with you to help your teammates.

When I was working on it for each character I would sometimes kinda get "kicked out" early because I was killing summons or accidentally killed a red (or intentionally because they were attacking me and being stupid) when all I wanted to do really was kill the Host.

As a Red I'm free to kill as much as I want until the Host was dead and that's how I liked it.

Nightreign is basically a "Moshpit of experiments" for FromSoft and is MOST ideal to play if you have two other peeps to play with regularly.
Sure you can play with randoms but... we all know how that can be and there's no in-game voice chat if I recall.

I have had my fair share of fun with it. I was also not keen on getting it but then I saw they were releasing it at a cheaper price and normal games usually are and so I got it and the DLC pack for it.

If you liked Elden Ring at all (like I did, tho I hated anything past the first playthru with the PvP included and how it was handled) then you'll like Nightreign easy.

Tho be prepared to have moments where you spend 30+ minutes to get yourselves prepped for the final boss of the run only to go in and all go down within 30 seconds because of some tomfoolery.

ER PvP is bad for the simple fact that "Nobody has any Health, Everybody does stupid damage."
Save for some builds meant to have a ton of HP but the absurd ability to deal FUCK amounts of damage makes having a large HP pool kinda irrelevant.

Oh I've had a build with a mountain of HP and it does definitely help against players who view BLEED as thier Lord and Savior amongs other forms of crazy damage.
It's just that unless you're juicing up your HP pool you're gonna die from whatever cheeky cheesy nonsense someone is trying to hit you with.

I liked DS2's Leveling system (not Soul Memeory) because up to 50 in each Stat you'd get more health no matter what. Made pumping Health not as much of a mandatory thing if you wanted to spread your points in other areas.

I prefer invasions but the way invasions in Elden Ring are it's either guaranteed gankfest or it's somoene wanting a duel cuz they basically invited you in. There's no "forced entry" like in previous Souls titles which made it more interesting.

The biggest crime for ER, and any of the other Soul's, PvP is that Status Effects still build up even on dodge and giving Bleed a "stun" made it even worse to deal with.
