What kinda class fantasy you looking for? You want to be the gruff veteran soldier, the crazy priest, the big sweet brute, the space wizard?

I think they all take a bit to get going really, veteran is good for guns, zealot is good if you want to focus melee

ogryn is sorta good for both but has quite a limited weapon selection, psyker is strong but has some different mechanics going on

all classes are fun and i would reccomend playing them all atleast till level 20

as classes only really get going 20+ its when all your perks come together

I would not recommend starting with psyker just because it has an extra mechanic to keep track of and is the most delicate class of the core 4, which can make leveling painful

and if you play Smite Pyskyer you might just not learn the basics of dodging and how to play

as for dlc classes I really like them both, arbites is probably the easier class but is fun if you like shotguns and being tanky, hive scum is not a great class for new people because it needs you to be on the ball with dodge mechanics but has some good glass cannon stuff going on

hmmkay, i got the hivescum to 30 as i liked the idea of needle pistol/aoe dot but its kinda clunk and lacks the immediacy of "i need that dead right now" (and not super accurate for weakspot hits at longer range)
i liked the idea of psyker with that flying blade thing but frankly, im nearly 40 irl, it's so squishy (at least at lower level) it's pain to play atm lol

I liked hive scums survivability but like you said, i had to be on the ball so it has no chill lol
