It can either be fast removal of carapace, or it can be consistent stagger. Every weapon can 1v1 a crusher, but doing that with a devil claw, combat axe, tac axe, heavy sword(lol), just takes too long for the amount of carapace showing up in higher difficulties, while also not providing decent stagger into crusher/mauler squads.

Like the shock mauls are good with just an ok time to kill on crushers cause of stagger.

part of this is true but some styles of play lend themselves better to heavy narrative than others

i feel as if you'll get more out of an RPG than a traditional fps

I don't think it's the best apple tv original but I did enjoy it for what it was

and part of that is that in the medium of books you're going to be allowed to be more detailed as that's justt how writing works compared to say a video game that is largely a visual medium but I think metro 2033 also gimped itself a little by just being a linear shooter

I think they could make it work by adding extra stuff but yeah if we're going by current lore on tertium it's likely not gonna happen, could see a prequel sort of series or something about wolfer because while we have the story we've only got splotches through cutscenes and what is said

Also the easiest way to get new people into 40k is through space marines, so it's almost guaranteed it's gonna be about them against some enemy of mankind
