Psyker is a bit of a skill check in the sense where you are tested on your dodging, positioning, and how you can handle yourself in melee if it comes down to it (which is honestly the case for all classes) but Psyker can feel more flimsy due to lower stats

It has better boss damage than the exterminator, more ammo (both in magazine and reserve), better stopping power, better mobility, and that's about it iirc.
