Take your time and check out some guides by royal w cheese. Iirc they have plenty of guides on how to interact with specials.

Broadly speaking, every special in the game can be easily dealt with once you have a better grasp on their behavior similar to darktide.

I can't speak in terms of 100% because its been a minute since I played. However some things to note:

1. Whatever has a more broken up stage of actions in darktide, assume it comes out faster in vt2.

2. Disabler specials are often very transparent. Leeches almost always spawn from a flank in their target. Assume it's you and keep that sentiment in mind for others. Their tell is the noise from arriving and then their hand going up before casting. The range of the projectile is longer than you may think, you making distance will help you see the speed it comes out at.

3. Gutterunners almost always make a noise after their call. Within roughly 2 seconds when you have less sounds from other enemies, you can hear "hachchchchch" or whatever when roaming. They have a similar behavior to pox hounds in that they only seek a clear path to attempt a jump.

If you see one and it's running to position itself, that's your primary tell in my experience. If they're running perpendicular to you before adjusting, take note of that. They have a weird profile but they do hunch for a second before leaping. They can be shot, shoved, dodged, etc. When you're more comfortable, you'll be doing the same air swats as you would hounds. Beware latency, it will matter with timing.

4. If your aim needs more guidance, get used to lining up headshots by manipulating commitments and any pauses certain enemies give you. They have much greater importance in vt2 compared to dt in terms of how frequently one needs to pop a head to receive free ammo or cycling buffs with better uptime.

5. What subclasses are you running around with? This can help some loadout choices for when you want to shit on specials more.

I have messed it up once when I discovered my wife's PC was overheating in Guild Wars 2 in 2017; diagnosed it through CPU-Z/HWMonitor, and it was coming from the CPU overheating and throwing an IRQL to full system halt to prevent melting. Removed the heat sink and overapplied the paste. So when I went to check and pull the sink later it ripped the CPU from the motherboard and bricked the whole system. Had to get new board, cpu, and RAM.

So in the summer the 2x8->1x12VHPWR converter from my PSU overvolted and fried my RTX3090 and I lost the whole thing because the cords melted and fused into the card itself. I bought a RTX5070 in August and some shielded 12V->12V connector without using the nvidia converter which had been known to fry from overvolting due to allowing voltage even if one of the connectors aren't there, overheating it. Because of the size it required nearly dismantling the whole box because I needed to add a brace and rerun connections from the PSU to the 5070 (and I got them backwards initially; I didn't know you could do that with a female->female)
