Basically Mechanicus members devoted to salvaging and maintaining the machines necessary for life support in Hive Cities that... have a tendency to grow into the role of crime lords devoted to arms dealing and chem production supporting the gangs. And sometimes becoming full on Hereteks because they keep having to do far too much important work with far too restrictive resources.

Also we get dialogue where the characters argue about whether or not the Omnissiah is or isn't the Emperor and what this whole Machine God thing is.
