So basically any visual modifications are allowed.

I once did a Quickplay, and the game started me right in front of the final elevator leading to the twins.
After beating them, I only then learned that apparently that was Hard Mode. I didn't notice a difference between it and regular mode (because I assumed I was just playing regular the whole fight). The only thing that felt odd was that I had to go in to a little cage in the wall to revive people

Well, take creative assembly, for instance -- they're a dev studio owned by Sega. They're big. They have two wholly separate teams, one that develops and designs new content & new games, and the other that works on maintenance of released products and support through patches, hotfixes, and supplements expansion and quality of life. So whenever there's a new Total War Game, it seems to be a large step-back from the polish of the previous one because the team that makes the new stuff isn't the team that polishes and adds quality of life to it. So the maintance team then takes over to support and basically re-add all the stuff they did on their previous project so the development team can go to their new project.

honestly, frying in a wok is really good. For breakfast on weekends for my wife I will cut up some spuds and put some vegetable oil in the wok and after seasoning them (S&P, onion & garlic, taco seasoning) I put them in the wok and they come out super good. I've also made curry and masala in it.

I tend to enjoy Indian curry more than Thai or Japanese curries; my wife loves a masamune, but I like a Vindaloo. Still though, you boil some onions, carrots, potatoes while you use the wok to cook chicken or steak in it and add the curry to simmer and then the boiled vegs in it. Great stuff
