batter was nerfed because it was egregious on top of how good the debuff stick/stabby knife weapons are and how much toughness sustain you have, also stacking a ton of bleed really fast on everything all the time is not even needed and over the top. so pretty safe nerf. batter does make up a big part of overall dmg output on e.g. shield and that is unchanged since its a heavy machine.

on shield its something like 25% of your total dmg output over a mission

on pickaxes or other weps its like 10%

the more dmg a weapon does, the less batter contributes
