I think I remember reading somewhere that after Bethesda took over, Van Buren (original FO3) got scrapped and they tried to make a new retcon set immediately after the Great War in DC, but also changed their mind during development and made it set after the first two games, but didn’t remove or change assets at all, so now we have a weird world that acts like the War just happened a couple decades ago (and looks it too) even though it’s apparently been 200 years.

Positioning is a key in basically any shooter

There are a lot of areas in maps where you have multiple paths you can take that lead to the same location. I often find that people will take the first route or most direct, which is almost always the most open with hardly any cover.

I still thing some sort of borderlands style stat vanity system would work.

So you pay in melk bucks for account-wide perma stats that are miniscule that dont actually matter in gameplay but go towards something that feels like it mattered.

So +1% toughness after funnelling in 10k melk bucks or something ludicrous

Isnt Tencent part of the shareholders? Just do what GW2 does and have a flat conversion rate between one rare currency into aquilas. Melk bucks would work cause it's timegated, and would reward longterm players

That way it adds to longevity, rewards the long term players, and keeps things fresh-- long term investors are better than short term one offs
