Me and my friends weekly pattern for havoc when I play with them is that the first run is a wipe due to skill issue, second wipe is because someone crashes at the worst time, then we clear the third time

I found that part easy because when you're doing 40s, its 1 step back 2 steps forward. A 40 win gets you 2 ranks, so your rank is always going up. Once you hit 36 and wins only grant 1 rank then the climb slows. This is of course from me playing almost exclusively with pubs, so often times I'll lose several 40s in a row before a clear.

I also did pubs only, and the problem here was that I didn't have my old 40 rank showing, so I couldn't get anything higher than one or two above my clearance even with true survivor and the 40 symbol

It was an auto denial every time

It was miles easier once I got let into a 40 and managed to clear with them when it came to climbing
