if you're playing solo/your teammates are at a distance and you get grabbed by the chaos spawn, you can make ya dog target the chaos spawn that prompts its swinging player animation

I should try the crusher... unfortunately I'm a bit weird. I tried the Combat Axe, and then just kind of became addicted to how it feels aheh, so even if the Combat Axe isn't the best, I figured I would just become good enough skill-wise to make it good.
(I do have all the other weapons 'mastered', but I unfortunately only use the Combat Axe, even though I know it has weaknesses... but I know its weaknesses, I can feel its weaknesses...)

Tbh, on controller, I forget how to do the push attack. It's not complicated to do at all, you just have to kind of push 2 things at the same time, but I forget the order (I never really bothered to look in to it too deep)

Are you just holding down block (which lets you block), and then occasionally hitting attack (to do the push attack)
and then letting go of everything to reset, and then holding down block again, to do it again...
Or are you blocking, then letting go of block button, then attacking or dodging

I can't lie, I do accidently block attacks and get staggered when I try to push attack sometimes

the best times to use it is when you have just dodged or right before an engagement

so enemies cant hit you while you are blocking and take your stamina

once again, I am unsure how this translates to controller

its all muscle memory

I dont really think about the buttons

I just do

for the being surrounded part

1: try to put your back against the wall and look for openings around them to slip out

2: use a tool (ability, weapon, grenade) to make an opening

3: kill them all and maybe take chip damage

I'm also at the point where it's 95% brain off, all muscle memory... my skill might have only reached up to 80% of yours though when I decided "ok, that's the point where I'm going to turn my brain off and rely on muscle memory" heh

this depends on the class and the weapon. ogryn just knocks the horde down with dodges and regenerates a billion toughness with attacks, so i just keep swinging and throwing my weight around. on human classes with melee weapons with high cleave and stagger you can do the same, with some added shoves to create breathing room if necessary. there are also weapons that have a hordeclear combo that starts with a push attack so you use those more often. but sometimes i dont do any of this and e.g. just point the voidblast staff explosion at my feet as psyker. 😄
