now, i know this is for helldivers 2, but darktide runs on the same engine and some of the tricks he talks about in this video could work. the mod is just reshade with some presets. don't ask me how to install it or make it work because i simply do not know. i just watched this video a few weeks ago and it might work for you.

you should also do some research and see if there are any .ini settings you can manually tweak yourself that go beyond what the game can offer you in the menus

what was said to this individual was indeed rude, callous, and irresponsible. however, this interaction took place in an environment where you're only interacting with up to 3 other people for an average of 20 minutes at a time, after which the only way you'll ever find them again is by checking your recently matched players.
the only recourse this person had was to report the user, block them, and move on. bringing the situation up here expecting blanket affection and affirmation from total strangers online is, perhaps unfortunately, wishful thinking. i don't think his perception is skewed in any way - his reaction is appropriate for someone who is sensitive about such things - but it probably would have served him better to bring it up to a close-knit friend group or a trusted individual.
i'm not saying he should expect everyone he interacts with on the internet to be a total asshole, but for him to expect an overwhelming positive reaction to his plight is just plain naive. again, he's probably just a kid, and hopefully he will take this in stride in time.
