short TTK just isn't popular atm if we're honest because its such a binary experience that players with different skill gaps have worse experiences at small gaps compared to games with longer TTK and less aim based mechanics

its more like you can use your resources and not die. short TTK means less resources to use but more reaction time needed (or more patience if you're corner camping or sniping)... longer ttk turns into a resource game
both are actually very hard for new comers but bad players enjoy longer ttks more because they can waste resources and not die yeah
i prefer longer TTK games because i can compete at near pro level in some of them, short ttk i'm basically a free kill

i will say if you have people that know what they're doing (specifically medics) dying doesn't really mean all that much since you can get revived super quickly and get dragged out of where you were downed at
