At the end of the day you still are on the same hardware and there's only so much you can do with it

But it's pretty likely anything arch/fedora based is going to be more performant just because it's on more current drivers/software etc

PikaOS is a good one and Debian based like mint

So it's not going to be as much as a learning curve

It isn't as bad as people make it out to be

Especially these days, I use cachyos myself and it's pretty out of the box ready to go. You just have to actually read the manual
