I don't know about cannons, typical LMG caliber is 7.62x51mm. Could be 5.56x45 to. But they should def not feel like peashooters. Like the older games you had the benefit of volume of fire. So that's about ten shots to kill.

The thing it does pretty good though is long-range automatic fire which is... kind of crazy.

Although that does make sense because the modern AKs have some insanely effective brakes on them.
