SM2 has a custodes mod, and if you get all the other umbrella mods to go with it it helps with the class fantasy. That being said, unless we had a game that touched on something big like a Daemon prince, the Heresy, or invasion of an Dark Aeldar frigate, we most likely wont. Unless it's a CRPG

I guess? I mean to me, it doesn't matter either way; There are times when there are truly bad teammates, and times when the game just fucks you over due to an unfavorable seed. Even in 1.0 I had that same mindset, and after they've reset Havoc multiple times, I still went with that mindset. People request to join with all kinds of clearance levels, and there are even people with H40 clearance but their assignments aren't H40.
I had to climb that ladder myself, and that was my attitude when I did it, and hasn't changed since I got to the top.

• An expanding civilization of shapeshifters (described as "biomorphic") that have secretly infiltrated the leadership multiple species, with two of them being found all across the known Milky Way as nomads and/or mercenaries
• A weird-as-hell Psychic amplifier taking the form of a crystalline throne that saps the lifeforce of whoever sits on it while boosting their abilities as a Psyker (sound familiar?) which is also where a Space Marine Chapter makes its home
• A classified/redacted event known as the Pale Wasting that resulted in a conflict involving something referred to as a "star-spawned plague" that also used "nightmare-engines" with the end result being ELEVEN whole Space Marine Chapters destroyed
• Xenos that are probably from a separate reality that's different from the Warp and Materium that devastated multiple Imperial holdings only to suddenly vanish just as the Black Templars were closing in
• Two Tyranid Hive Fleets entering the area that eventually mostly destroyed, but with one of them (Moloch) consuming one of the few remaining Tarellian civilizations left aside from those in the Tau Empire and another (Jormungandr) that required the Death Spectres and an Imperial Admiral to temporarily ally with several Xenos species and their fleets just to have a chance at winning
• The Astronomican not shining in the region with some hints that it's actively being repelled by some unknown technology, entity, or supernatural phenomena
• Multiple planets that were once flourishing Human colonies but are now nothing more than Dead Worlds that are totally barren with absolutely no sign of what caused these societies to collapse or their worlds to be stripped of life
