I asked and the major consensus seems to be that Crushers are a joke and spawning 15 of these guys to balance them being weak is not it. Bulwarks need a rework so they are like Bulwarks in Vermintide 2 (enough hits on shield and they open their guard up). Making Ogryns spawn less but be more challenging appears to be relatively agreed upon consensus. Maulers have the same issue so that's why I'm asking.

Looking at Vermintide 2, what makes raiders (maulers but Vermintide) be more threatening than general maulers? Are they faster, more resilient? When I play Vermintide on Legendary diff they are an enemy that is threatening without being spawned in great numbers. I think someone needs to make acomparison and see what is the difference between those two enemies. Attack-wise they are exactly the same but what are those small differences that make one som scary and the other so laughably bad?

Man it sometimes sucks to think how DT was planned to be much more strategy-based game. With getting into firefights with the heretics, taking cover and having a more slow, tactical gameplay. But after the skill-tree update it changed. They had to drastically increase the enemy spawns to make the game more challenging and now we have modern DT. A shame really if you look at how much work they put into making the AI of shooters, with them attacking, retreating, taking cover based on what the players did. Now all of it goes unnoticed because we steam-roll through the map. But then again, the skill-tree update practically saved the game, so I guess one can't have it all.

I actually heard the complete opposite. I heard that the very idea of doing any type of nerf gives people a manic panic episode, even though said nerfs (like tho ones to the dueling sword and plasma gun would help the overall gameplay with said weapons). I hear that anytime FatShark nerfs something, people go full baby mode and Steam review-bomb the game. It pisses me off everytime I hear it.

this happens. This game has a culture around review bombing that started on the disastrous launch, but the reaction people have to nerfs is waaaay exagerated. I think what DT needs now, more than anything else, a housekeeping update to tackle Quality of Life, powercreep, outdated skill trees and weapons and redundant/outdated enemy design. The game is in a great state now but the cracks are starting to show in some places

Tbh that's also partailly the fault of the "Emperor's fading light" modificator for havoc. It decreases you toughness. So it makes gunner enemies MUCH more dangerous.
