weapon specialist hasn't really been useful at all to this build due to I'm often just using the knife.

I finally decided to make the shift to Darktide. I've done everything & played at the highest difficulty in Vermintide 2. I'm so glad I made the shift. This game is amazing. On a whole other level. I'm really enjoying it. For me the slide mechanic makes everything easier as I can quickly get out of a situation. It took me an hour to get used to using slide. Now I defy the laws of physics & slide up slopes & walkways lol

It depends on what that stat's maximum allowed numeric value is.

If the stat's potential is 80, but the number is currently at 50, by the time you have upgraded it to 500, it will have reached that 80.

The most "stat points" a weapon can have is 380, which means 4 stats will have an 80% max and the last will be the weapon's dump stat with a 60% max, or it can be distributed into every stat evenly like a wep with all stats at 76%

So if 4 stats are at 80% the last will always be at 60%

Yes, it also influences your dodge distance iirc. You can inspect a weapon and see what each stat does individually in greater depth.

Once you unlock it, its a good idea to beat at least 1 havoc mission per week. Any level, but the higher the better. You get a ton of resources every sunday based on the level you cleared that week. Lets you upgrade tons of weapons without farming 300 missions

Have you tried playing psyker? Psyker isn't easy heh. (At least not for me.)
Psykers have very low toughness so they get downed more easily. And if a psyker is focusing on crowd control and protecting people, they might also have low offense numbers.
But yeah, I think, at the moment, there are a bunch of players who seem to be kind of learning/re-learning the game, so they don't fully understand the teamwork concepts yet.
