You can see the stat allocation it'll get when maxed out, for a lot of weapons you're aiming for 80 in most stats with 60 in the least useful one (most often Mobility or Defense)

the only thing you can't affect is the stat spread ; so buy a few from Brunt's shop and check what you get

the best roll you can get are 80 80 80 80 60, and you generally want that 60 to be defence/mobility

oh also the big new thing is the mastery system, which requires you to play games with your weapons of choice or sacrifice weapons of blue rarity and up to level up

Levels we already played are going to be linearly strung along in a proper sequence, and there is new dialogue being added to flesh out some of the backstory so each level flows into the next properly. And if you start a new character, you will be campaign-level-gated before you can move on to the next one.
i.e., you cannot just instantly hop on heresy difficulty as soon as you hit level 10
