I understand those points, but that's not really Catachans being hardasses as much as it is a level of self-confidence to the point of arrogance to most others; Catachans are flexible, which is what makes them stand out from others, exactly because of the traditional Catachan upbringing. It's like a EOD specialist who is flippant to other people: Either you fix the problem, or it's suddenly not your problem. Don't waste your breath. You don't need to tell others what to do or make them follow you, when you can just do it yourself. Better yet, if you're on the receiving end of that, you'll still do what you want because your instincts know better. I say the Cutthroat does not fit all the way because of the rigidity; They are the best of the best and it has to be their way, Cadian or not. Cutthroats are soldiers and soldier; Catachans are fighters and fight, which is why the Loose Cannon makes more sense to me. Catachans don't need their way, only the way that gets everyone home, and if it happens to be their way, now that's just a convenient coincidence.

But now that I type it out, I think we are actually agreeing 🤔 I just say that the Cutthroat doesn't fit not because they're Cadian, but because that inherent Militarum structure still defines their personality, even if they know they are better, which is not the case for Catachans. They fight for the Emperor, Imperium, and if you don't like it, suck it up.

I have fantasy warriors of chaos, slaves to darkness for age of sigmar, and chaos space marines for 40k. I've built up a small collection of daemons (nurgle so far), and a small group of each god aligned marines faction.

really well, my AoS army is complete except for like 3 models. Two chosen and one daemon prince. My CSM are motoring along, I have like 20 or 25 models left to paint there. My fantasy warriors is a collection that spans from the early 80s to the 2010s so that's an ongoing project with multiple armies and many paint schemes. Right now I'm doing 2000s period models, 2000 points. Galrauch, Hellcannon, and warriors+knights, using speed paints for the warriors and knights.
Knights are shelved as a project. I like giant robots but my friends negged me out of them.
And the god-aligned stuff and daemons I bought mostly painted. I have the most work to do on the thousand sons and the emperor's children.
