A Hot shot las could provide a semi auto alternative to the Hellbore. In addition it could have a scope. Warhammer lore does depict hot shot las's as being marksman rifles. Scopes are part of the game files (it was noted as part of the Head hunter, it had a scrapped scope)

Again another point.. Look the issue with Vet is that most of its passives are for Ranged.. like Ammo return on critical, distance, etc. If you compare it to Arbi. Off the top of my head I think it has what 2 or 3 passives for ranged? Either way it doesnt need more because it can dump most problems through its excessively high damage. To add icing to the cake, it handles melee far better than some classes. Not just because of the shield but also because of silly crap like Grit.. which is where you can't take more than 50 damage

fair enough 🙂 my only hope is they handle it well.. adding active dodge is a scary sign to me that its going away from the good old days. I am concerned that active dodging may be required during periods of bad RNG (lack of gear). I will still try to help the devs though. Same with Warhammer.. Whether it be Darktide or something else. I am old enough to remember D&D version 1 manual (what a brick).. I have seen a lot of table tops since then.. Warhammer, Mech Warrior, World of Darkness, etc

I mean Grim Dawn, maybe my fav ARPG, also added active dodge and the game is better for it imo, especially with how certain deaths can sometimes come out of nowhere, especially if you're speccing into a purely DPS build

The problem though is a lot of people who are interested in TQ 2 are from TQ 1 where active dodge wasnt a thing. It worked for Grim Dawn because it was a stand alone and fit the niche of the time.. still is. Its getting an expansion and a new class as a matter of fact. The Berserker. Supposed to focus on Bleed or Cold Damage

Well D2 at least did things right in terms of branching out the classes.. making them fun and balanced but I am worried for TQ 2 not just because of the active dodge but the devs did say in recent times they are not returning to the Orient.. which means that Dream, Nidan, Rune and that will not make a return to TQ 2

and radically changed.. the biggest difference between D2 and D4 paladin is angelic form. yup they made it so it can go Angel mode and whip people if it wants to. Judicator I think is the name of that build? Either way you use your angel wings to whip enemies near you. comes with a hole lot of vulnerability debuffs

And no Amazon is not going to be in D4.. they are adding the Seer which is the spiritual healer for the Amazon's home world

I like warlock so far but you dont get a true minion build till a bit later it seems. Necro starts with skellies but your first warlock summon is an exploding daemon

Warlock is mostly temp minions which i still like i just want ones thsy dont explode immediately lol

Making them your main strat was obtuse and they did this thing where rather then normal scaling they received 1 third of your stats and i was completely unsure how to scale them the best.

But it seems the new tree puts alot more power into your actual talent tree for minions

Minion builds without that ring that buffed them felt like it was always better to just not play minions

I was an Amazon main for D2 even in to the expansion (when Assassin and Druid was added).. That will always be my favorite and I am sad they couldnt replicate that in 4

And I find the reason for not bringing it back to be lame. The devs said the Amazon wont return to 4 because its female only. I am like who cares? You do realize that a lot of games have had female characters only and no one complained.. Dark age of Camelot for Midgard, your only tank was a woman with a spear. D2 was amazon. Arbites is p much both those put together with the stagger/charging/tagging stuff to die.

Atm there isnt much variance in builds for most classes.

I think the issue goes well beyond just the skills themselves (their passives).. I think it also has to do with how far apart things are. quick example not specific to Warhammer.. if you create a hybrid unit but it has to expend 20 passive points to see melee that can be a problem
