I honestly used to run pickpocket on support scum just cuz sample collector really helps to get crates back fast but honestly, it's just such a boring playstyle that I can't be assed anymore.

ai is gonna reccomend something awful like desperado adrenaline

Psyker can skip stamina curio with warp ghost and run double toughness for their melee builds
i run triple HP psyker
i have had a realy bad steak of asking help in other games. was using ai to search redit and whatnot

Playing in havoc and auric randoms most hivescum are melee not ranged, so melee is either easier or stronger or both

This isnt that hard.
1 point gets you 30% CDR.
2 points gets you 7.5% crit per point and the CDR.
3 points gets you 5% crit and 5% toughness per point and the CDR or 6.66% crit per point and slightly extra CDR
4 points gets you 5% crit and 5% toughness per point and the extra CDR

on hive scum yes. I have about 2 weeks into game, think this is 3rd or 4th. steam says 370 hrs but I afk often in game

yeah they'll be pretty new players kind of like you are so there are gonna be some "focus" problems lol... if you're finding you are doing fine but failing to clutch (like win when you're the last one alive) then you can probably jump up in difficulty as you feel like it

as long as you're not going into havoc don't worry too much about the curios getting like perfect (and even in havoc its not needed imo)

but yeah the closer you get to auric the better players you'll see... there was a surge of new and returning players recently so auric is a bit scuffed sometimes but way better than lower difficulties
i only solo quickplay in these games, even my havocs are just randomly applying to every group
the community is really good tbh, even more so the higher up you go
damnation is kind of rough because its still newer players but its not terrible
i probaly could do a bit higher. anxiety is a killer for me

One of the things that helps makes make you feel more in control is to increase the FOV

honestly, like mute chat if you don't want to deal with stress, mute voice as well... and don't sweat losses, just play and try your best wherever you're having fun difficulty wise
i play on default FoV and rely on my headphones tbh
wide fov makes me miss because it confuses my spacing

yeah ammo gen on melee builds isn't needed even in havoc, like you can run dry in havoc if things really spiral but its not like you'll lose because you ran out usually

I've been liking Chem dep because I run riposte and precog on my shivs
And Chem dep synergizes with those two greatly.
I was trying riposte and executor but its not as punchy to me. Doesn't make the brain chemicals do the happy thing as much.
Why no Uncanny?
i try to have my gear over recommended. I like to limit my ability to fail. This is not my normal type of game so adjusting
I don't think uncanny is as big of a deal on shivs.

If you do a fuck ton of finesse damage, that's basically negligible

And that's only because 120% rending is just objectively too much to look past.
in general you don't need communication outside of pings, because anyone saying anything is going to come after the game already alerted everyone via the sound system. So like, speaking too often can drown out important sound queues keeping people alive (not saying you can't say things, sometimes coms can be handy)
the dodge in game feels off. I know idged more than 12 in row but dont have that. the air in front of me has caused damage
you'll get the dodge thing in higher difficulties lol, you're probably failing a dodge on accident in lower difficulties by dodging when not being attacked at that moment
wasnt a complaint. I just remember in lsome game we said stretch before radio silence
though sometimes, and no reaction. sniper ruins run because i got chipped and no one else wants to try to poke
the dodge gives you mini iframes against some attacks but mostly what it does is drop tracking for you
lol use that time to learn how to dodge a sniper because eventually you'll suddenly find times where like 6 redlines are drawn on you 
if you dodge as it makes the wind up sound or a bit before it will shoot where you were
my timing is not perfect. i say 50% user error.
if you can't get a shot on it then just block line of sight and kill whats bothering you there then get the sniper

This may sound counterintuitive but damnation runs can be easier than heresy because the team members tend to be better
melee, why using bonesaw and perks for melee dmg against chem toxin eneies. the kill of one for 15% toughness is why i went that route
it makes sense. peeps know what to do. I usually have better time in heresy then malice
that is a super comfy skill, the toughness regen one, you can face tank things in auric with it 
I am not there yet. gave up on being random so eating my hating being social. went to discord to find group of similar level peeps

I personally would recommend starting with no dlc, you get everything but 2 classes. Which is fine, the dlc classes are also not beginner friendly. Best to start with zealot/vet and learn the game and when you want to try out more weapons/classes try out the dlcs

Hive scum is not beginner friendly because it actually requires some understanding of the game to get the rhythm of the class down.
Arbitrator is not beginner friendly because it gets away with so many things just by being so ridiculously tanky and safe to play that it instills bad habits for newer players.
They're both bad for beginners for polar opposite reasons and I find that amusing.

I only find rockets are better than chem grenades if there's rotten armor
Not really; both are insane & work in different circumstances better than the other
However; due to how HS works, rockets are generally better due to 2 things;
- stagger
- immediate threat deletion
With chems you have to still kite & wait and if you end up surrounded rockets will bail you out; chems might not be fast enough (despite incredible potency); not to mention boss stagger

Chem grenade and rocket debate is easy to answer:
Rockets are immediate solutions to density problems and they are easier to use. BUT they can't anchor spawn points during a horde/ambush.
Use them when density becomes high (crusher mauler bulwark packs, monster plus elites, rinda rodin plus extras etc)
Choose rockets in modifiers where elites are way more oppressive (rotten armor, rampaging etc)
Chem grenades are also solutions to density problems BUT they can't deal with elites immediately. You should use them to lock down enemy pathing so the entire ambush dies to one singular chem grenade.
They require knowledge on spawn locations and grenade spread so you can chuck them at the most effective location during fights.
They are aslo incredibly potent at isolating bossfights for easier takedowns in low boss damage setups.
Choose chem grenades in modifiers where enemy amount is causing the main pressure! (low cleave melee wep builds, moebian modifier etc.)
ESPECIALY FOR HAVOC 40 DUO/SOLOS you need to kite enemies around a main point for both rocket and chem grenade to get maximum value. Know how to position yourself and one grenade will solve an entire havoc 40 wave.

I would add that its map dependant - tight maps make chems better to use
Building for low cleave weps is no issue tbh; chaf is never a problem - its more modifiers like blight - chems in that are good cause everything dies steadily in 1 place & do not spread
- with chems you cannot play scared aka throw them & fight in them so enemy won’t try to kite around the area
Same for inferno but those are dogshit

I cannot honestly say it's one of hte worst simply because of chem toxin
2 chem toxin stacks kills trash and about 4 kills most elites and when your melee is applying those stacks on every swing
It's kinda hard for it to not kill shit even if it feels bad

especially if you use coated weaponry+shred on it and just run both cleave talents
it will actually just mince everything in melee
crushers included
by just spamming melee
even a single cleave talent + coated weaponry works
don't even need Shred, though it's nice. Deci's strength bonus helps with direct damage + tox stack damage
so then the question is, what has the best range / hits most enemies per swing / swings fastest
it just says Power
because I'm like 90% confident decimator does not affect tox stack damage
so I am assuming it is global
I don't have the giga detail mod
but even if it were, I like having Deci anyway because it enables Shock & Awe much better
it does give you assloads of extra cleave tho
yeah, inherent cleave from strength + easier maintenance of S&A

Personally, Flak is a safe pick because a lot of enemies are Flak armored
it definitely can be just because of how little you actually need to hit enemies for them to be certainly dead

But if you do enough damage to not need to care about that, carapace is a good bet unless the weapon in particular just has absolutely awful adms against it

Yes and no. It's very weird.
Like for desperado. Toxin kills can proc the cooldown effect but it has to be the enemy you hit with the toxin
So you can't spam mk2 aoe toxin and proc it off anything that got hit by the aoe.

Like Thunderhammer is a good example of this, does it deal giga-damage? Absolutely, but its painful to use in high stress situations so it sees very little play, particularly when the Relic Sword exists, which is just TH without feeling like you're swimming through molasses
Tbh Thunderhammer damage isn't even that giga most of the time, doesn't it need an ability to kill a Crusher in one tap?

Tbf I can see you have jittery so you're within your right to do that.
I tend to chain dodges and slides a lot to get around.
Dodge, sprint slide, dodge, sprint slide, so on and so forth.
For jittery, it don't matter much since you recover your dodges so fast but without, it helps you move pretty fast without depleting your dodges too quickly if you really can't stop moving.
to be fair. trappers have been probably the most unfair specialist for a long time now

Trappers are in severe need of a hit mass limit.
This game's density just does not allow for justification for them being able to shoot through any number of enemies.

Whatever 2 of them depending on preference. Personally I'd keep Opportunist there for sure, and choose whichever one of the other 3 your playstyle likes

and you get 3-4 per pickup
generally, if you have a scum not using blinders, you want to funnel the majority of the grenades your team finds into the scum
it's supplanted ogrebombs as the top priority
Regi lost his credibility card after many questionable build choices (respectable tho for testing things but his builds can be better)
Not many weapons can be compared to the power sword. Bone Saw ain't one of them.
