I've heard more about the 7 than the 2 lately, tho

charred bronze
#

7 and 4 are most loved I think? The only other mark I hear about is 4. I tried the 2 and didn't like it much. 7 is my preference.

Basically, the 7 is better horde clear (great for smashing light and killing everything but crushers. It also has a push attack into heavy swing horde clear combo, but you have zillions of attack speed, might as well use it), the 4 is better single target.

#

I use the 7, because I like braindead horde clear

rough peak

4 is the one with cleaving lights

charred bronze

the pattern is awkward, and wif bromentum, hitting lights on the 7 offers all the cleave required. I don't use any cleave talents on my rampage build

I just treat the tactical axe like a discount knife, I feel like a lesser peak but you can readily use it without as much investment

main trellis
charred bronze

as a bonus, you just happen to mulch any elites that are mixed into the horde. I do like the special on the 4 better though

#

it's a little less safe to use the 7 on a rager, marginally ime

main trellis
charred bronze
#

like, sometimes the stagger doesn't land

#

no, 7 special is back of axe, swipe repeat, 4 is back, back, sweep

ripe seal
#

i think melee and even crate build have stuff to make use of the knife but for a desperado build i'd rather use the tax axe, though I feel like something anti armor would be the choice there with the knife potentially deals with better, or just a chain weapon

charred bronze
#

the hammer on the back of the axe is what you get the most stagger from as far as I can tell

charred bronze
ripe seal
#

the 4 is like a quick jab forward with the axehead that I think you can spam

charred bronze
#

they're both spammable, the 4 is easier to get consistent controlled stagger with

#

but that's why the emprah made dodge

ripe seal

i don't really get what's different between the knife and shivs besides blessings and special, but I value the knife throw way more than the dinky punch I never use

i forget ifthe tac special can stun rangers/mutants like the special on the default veteran shovel, which I haven't done in a long time but was one of my favorite things to do vefore

final temple

it’s a straight up waste.

bronze glade
#

nah

mighty belfry
#

there's actual synergy to it tbh

#

it's just a one sided synergy

#

Hyperviolence can feed into hypercrit but not the other way around.

final temple
#

there is no synergy. HV helps you oneshot stuff already. As does HC.

mighty belfry
#

Havoc

#

Because of the higher health pools

final temple
#

you overshoot any breakpoints with HV by a mile already. so HC does nothing but break the HV ramp

compact valley
#

my use case for both is in havoc 35+

#

otherwise i spec out

#

but they do work together

mighty belfry
#

because hyperviolence alone can still falter on getting one shots just because the hordes get so hp packed

final temple
mighty belfry
#

hypercrit is an insurance plan for that

mighty belfry
#

it's actually more consistent for horde clear

#

where it does cause issues, is with bigger targets

#

because the hypercrit won't allow you to get the overkill to draw over to them

final temple
#

neither HV nor HC will oneshot ogryns or bosses anyways.

compact valley
mighty belfry
#

that's not the point!

#

in really, really dense hordes like you can get in high havoc, there's justification for having both because it does actually help quite a bit

final temple
#

the point is that you devalue your point investment with both because either does 95% of the work and you want an insurance for 5% where another hit would suffice.

#

it’s your points. but I say it’s a waste

mighty belfry
#

i say it depends

#

i don't run it

#

but i have run it

#

and i see the logic as to why one would do it

compact valley
brittle sierra
mighty belfry
#

really

final temple
#

I’ve run both too and HC is far more noticeable than HV exploding. to the point that I now run HC when I run shivs.

mighty belfry
#

i think having either or for CDR or uptime for crate works

#

cant go wrong with CDR anyway since stimm supply is still bugged lol

brittle sierra
#

No I mean CDR stimms

mighty belfry
#

Yeah. That's what I mean

#

Either way, you're still getting good uptime.

#

Both options are fine.

#

There may be a point in time where this changes but, for now, it's a pick your poison situation

lapis raft
#

im doing 100% viscosity with cdr and str, works fine for crate uptime

keen timber
#

depends

#

havoc or auric?

#

because in havoc imo u want a 15 sec stim

#

for blight

final temple
#

with chem dep you still get like a fully buffed crate every other cooldown.

lapis raft
#

both havoc and auric, i have 80% uptime with it

#

15 sec stim is complete overkill with crate

limber cradle
#

I think if you're running crate for blight spreads it's worth using a lower CD stimm

dim moth
#

I be blendin' stuf

final temple

lapis raft

all the crates are fully buffed because of the bug

low harbor
#

Is crate still bugged to apply stim effect when your stim is on recharge?

lapis raft
#

yes

final temple
#

yeah. But I am not calculating with a bug 😉

low harbor
#

Cuz it doesn’t work like that in meat grinder last I checked

mighty belfry
#

That's probably not going away at least until late January lol

lapis raft
#

only reason why 100% viscosity crate works

low harbor
#

Is that a live game only feature

mighty belfry

It's 100% working still

#

It's probably live game

lapis raft
#

no, it works in meat grinder too

mighty belfry
#

Wait no

#

Someone posted a thumb here of them doing it in psykanium as well

low harbor
#

Nah I checked in meat grinder, popping stim then using crate didn’t make damage higher

#

Crit chance also didn’t go higher

lapis raft
#

walk in and out of circle

#

well out and then back in

final temple
#

yeah iirc it gets falsely applied when you enter crate range

mighty belfry
#

yeah it's basically a false check

low harbor
#

Wack

mighty belfry
#

It's honestly why I don't like doing it

final temple
#

same bug to hyperstack stimm effects

mighty belfry
#

It's really awkward

#

And sometimes

brittle sierra
#

The bug is when you pop a crate and then get the stimm cooldown off you get the buff

mighty belfry
#

You'll move out of the crate when you put it down, so you have to move in, out, and then back in again

#

because the AoE is smoll

lapis raft
#

i got used to it mostly but yea sometimes i forget :d

brittle sierra
#

So yeah there isn't much of a reason to get the ability CDR unless you are going blight

final temple

12.5 from weapon (shiv/knife)

ripe seal

lavish parrot
#

Doesn't that one give extra 20% for dodging?

final temple
#

yeah.

lavish parrot
#

Ok I know what I have to do now

final temple
#

you end up doing more damage with precog once your crit chance is high enough tho

ripe seal
#

I don't know the base crit ch ance on the shivs but I know the knife is about 15% base crit and I forgot about the crit chance on dodge blessing as well

#

which means it s hould have a higher c hance than the tactical axe

compact valley
#

shiv is same as kife

#

knife

ripe seal
#

and that's without outside help, zealot, psyker, and I think gunogryn can help boost it, so you don't even need to be fully optimal

final temple
#

10 class + 12.5 shiv + 20 butterfly talent + 5 aura + 5 node + 20 chem dep alone puts you at 72.5. from there taking precog on shiv and finesse on stimm nets you the most damage per crit (and overtakes what 100% crit would net you)

lapis raft
ripe seal
#

you could swap dependency for vulture and lose 5 crit that's only for ranged and harder to stack, but you get vulture dodge and the potential to roll the dice of procing the crit crazy fast with hte right gun

#

oh, also not ocunting the 5% crit chance from perk for what that's worth

Dumdum always but Deathspitter/Speedload

thorny ginkgo

ripe seal

There’s an appeal to both, delaying bit clusters of armor or heavies is nice, but being able to play defensively or keep going on the offensive and stacking damage is nice, but I think you’d probably want rockets unless you do some investment near the bottom right

thorny ginkgo
#

ah ok thank you

zenith fern

Does the repeated hit mean on single enemy or hit any targets without miss

thorny ginkgo

woeful hill

doesnt need to be same target

#

"Consecutive ranged attacks and pushes (Laspistol melee special action) against enemies grant stacks (up to 5); generates first stack on second hit or push; stacks last 2s and can be refreshed during active duration. It depends on your team. If they don’t have very good anti armor that purple poison can put in some work

It's what enables Desperado that makes it so busted

exotic temple
mighty belfry

I do get giving it a somewhat lower ranking if we're talking about the ability itself

vulture kinda of suppliments what dseperado does when its off cooldown and more, but on demand range immunity is nice

mighty belfry

If not for him giving it a tad too low of a rating because Desperado is still on demand range immunity.

exotic temple
#

Between desperado slipper customer and vultures dodge you just stay is one form of invulnerability for an entire fight

your weapon set up matters but you just get to pump out so much ranged damage for free

mighty belfry

That being said

glad latch
# mighty belfry I think Desperado is B at best.

imo, I think it's A tier, I can usually get top damage with it pretty consistently.

The immunity to all ranged is super strong as well, like just walk in a gunner room and mow everything down and they can't do anything back to you.

I saw where Reginald did a dmg comparison between adrenaline and chem dep. adrenaline doesn’t give you a lot of extra dps when rampage is active but chem does because the crits contribute more to the bottom line and you get rampage back faster
