Ogryn is kinda hard to start off with, you have a big hit box and you need to be good at dodging gunners and disablers or life will be pain.

You need to understand that, for low level/new players, dodging is optional, and they will result to block first
except, its not vermintide, and blocking kinda suck
I think blocking can be useful, in desperate situations where my brain can not function "normally" I just block instinctively, works like a charm at times

yeah the grab is a 270 degree hitbox that hits literally everywhere except for directly behind the chaos spawn and a tiny sliver of space to its left
So that's why it's so easy to get grabbed

7 and 4 are most loved I think? The only other mark I hear about is 4. I tried the 2 and didn't like it much. 7 is my preference.
Basically, the 7 is better horde clear (great for smashing light and killing everything but crushers. It also has a push attack into heavy swing horde clear combo, but you have zillions of attack speed, might as well use it), the 4 is better single target.
I use the 7, because I like braindead horde clear
4 is the one with cleaving lights
the pattern is awkward, and wif bromentum, hitting lights on the 7 offers all the cleave required. I don't use any cleave talents on my rampage build
heavies on the 4 kill a crusher faster than the heavies on the 7

I feel like the mk4 is the best tactical axe overall mostly because its light combo chain doesn't have that weird sorta reset period to that the other one has when you spam it, otherwise I couldn't tell the difference between them outside of mayve the special

for any other class, I'd agree with the PA-H on 7, but spam works a treat on scum with the insane attack speed you can have by default.
I just treat the tactical axe like a discount knife, I feel like a lesser peak but you can readily use it without as much investment
More so that 4 has slower att spd thus the delay is not noticable as much like on 7
as a bonus, you just happen to mulch any elites that are mixed into the horde. I do like the special on the 4 better though

i think melee and even crate build have stuff to make use of the knife but for a desperado build i'd rather use the tax axe, though I feel like something anti armor would be the choice there with the knife potentially deals with better, or just a chain weapon
the hammer on the back of the axe is what you get the most stagger from as far as I can tell
for despo I use shivs just to help clean up crushers
the 4 is like a quick jab forward with the axehead that I think you can spam
they're both spammable, the 4 is easier to get consistent controlled stagger with

i don't really get what's different between the knife and shivs besides blessings and special, but I value the knife throw way more than the dinky punch I never use
the dinky punch on the knife enables a light overhead followup that does H attack overhead stab damage
i forget ifthe tac special can stun rangers/mutants like the special on the default veteran shovel, which I haven't done in a long time but was one of my favorite things to do vefore

i've been running the basic ass devil claw to farm easy heavy attacks with the stim for the penance and being able to parry spam ragers is nice, I want more parrry weapons

it doesn't have the sluggishness of an ogryn weapon to me, maybe I should try some of the combos fatshark listed, but going into secondary mode just to push attack and swap tp primary mode as part of a combo sounds ridiculous
the weight it has doesnt add up in terms of overall damage, it's built like it wants you to heavy swing, but the eavy swing is so heavy it feels like an ogryn swing
looking at it, it has similar numbers compared to the mk1 shovel on veteran which is one of my favorite weapons so maybe that's why i like it more
they even have sorta similar blessings

and if you reach 40 on one class you're 40 on all classes even if you haven't played those in havoc before

it lowers your assignment level, not your clearance level (the thing people see when you apply)

messing around with the suggested combos for the crowbar, I think H2-L3 chain is the best feeling of all the horde combos, better than light spam and comes out faster than heavy spam. The push attack goes directly into L3 so it be easy to set up
I haven't done havocs at all because I don't have enough irl friends who enjoy darktide AND are havoc capable to fill a squad.

I only use the shiv on crusher heavies, these blessings were suggested for that purpose. I've used uncanny on it previously though
Anyone who picks up preconition on their shivs should use the uptime mod and check their numbers

I found myself so rarely waiting for dodge stacks to come back I moved the point out of jittery into nimble
you are using desperado, which means you are immune vs sniper shots
Sniper resist is like one of the least useful perks imo
You get value from it once every like 5 games
mostly for instant shot snipers when despo is down. I try to tune my curios to make up for deficiencies of attention and game jank. And despo uptime is very high on the build, but not 100%

if you are in the middle of gunners, they cannot shoot you the majority of time
they wont revert it, but they'll definitely tweak it

there should be keystones on the cartel stimm tree at the end of each pathway that give you a cooler effect than just a stat bonus when you use your stim

Yes. It uses whatever stimm you have, whether cartel special or regular collected stimm and gives the buff to everyone in the area.
y'know, that ability could be fun with non cartel stimms, since there's the node that makes it go off cooldown whenever you pick up a stimm. Has anyone tried that?

I mean, you could do something funny like heal the entire team with a single green stimm, but I feel it's better to have an infinite supply of stimms on a cooldown than having to find and collect them. But idk, I haven't tried it.
yeah, just seems like it could do some fun stuff. The problem being map design. A lot of the times when you could get 2 or more uses out of the crate, there won't be stimm pick ups available in event rooms

The reason why mk7 is the best moveset is because you can select between the push attacks if you want to single or multi attack on the heavies or lights
After the first heavy you can immediately do an overhead heavy or reset the wave clear combo by pushing again

I don't know the base crit ch ance on the shivs but I know the knife is about 15% base crit and I forgot about the crit chance on dodge blessing as well
which means it s hould have a higher c hance than the tactical axe
and that's without outside help, zealot, psyker, and I think gunogryn can help boost it, so you don't even need to be fully optimal
10 class + 12.5 shiv + 20 butterfly talent + 5 aura + 5 node + 20 chem dep alone puts you at 72.5. from there taking precog on shiv and finesse on stimm nets you the most damage per crit (and overtakes what 100% crit would net you)
shiv is like 12.5 or something vs knife 15
you could swap dependency for vulture and lose 5 crit that's only for ranged and harder to stack, but you get vulture dodge and the potential to roll the dice of procing the crit crazy fast with hte right gun
oh, also not ocunting the 5% crit chance from perk for what that's worth

imo, I think it's A tier, I can usually get top damage with it pretty consistently.
The immunity to all ranged is super strong as well, like just walk in a gunner room and mow everything down and they can't do anything back to you.
E mentions that desperado doesn't give damage, but having free ammo is literally free damage, not to mention a stim can be stacked with it for damage and fire rate.

adrenaline and VM are pretty much invisible to me, I don't take it into account for anything I do in the game, but its nice that I have it

They could of added proper upgrade modes to AF, like one that gives finesse damage for example.

meanwhile with dependancy I'm constantly playing around it to the point that i'm stressing about going between 1 and 0 stacks in the start of the game without alot of trash to farm cooldown off
I saw where Reginald did a dmg comparison between adrenaline and chem dep. adrenaline doesn’t give you a lot of extra dps when rampage is active but chem does because the crits contribute more to the bottom line and you get rampage back faster
yeah besides vulture dodge the vulture one is pretty whatever feeling, especially comapred to marksman in the vet tree
