Did alright indeed, but that ending really does hammer the point a lot of people don't do/forget about in higher difficulties: bombers are a fucking priority. If you hear or see one, you've got to take it out fast before it puts you out into a position you really don't want to be. You can be skilled enough to solo a boss, but the moment bombers came you instantly started getting wrecked. The mix of high damage, sight impairment, movement denial, and forcing you into the open is so deadly.

Mind if I download this and use it as an example in case I have to explain that point in the future? Some people don't believe me when I say bombers are the second highest priority in this game (behind bursters).

The reson for that is because back in the beta it used to work like that, you had to lose toughness entirely to take health damage from melee. They, of course, changed that now very early on in darktide's life (I think before the beta even finished?), but never updated the lines.

After feedback they changed it so melee bleedthrough could be 0%, although it was borked for a while where if you had toughness in excess of 100, it increased the amount of damage taken. Vets had more toughness than the other classes back then so for a while they were taking double damage.

i like the way it works now. sure its a bit less intuitive, but it makes the dance of melee and ranged all the more dynamic on both sides. most toughness regen perks work with melee, and enemies you are attacking in melee usually dont have time to shoot you. and if you are bogged down in melee, the ranged fire coming in at you makes you more vulnerable to the melee attackers.
