The thing is, while they admit they are changing it entirely (in the future), is it too much to ask until that happens to, idk... lower some of its stats?

They fear a review bomb just as a new update drops, I get it.

But that means they should have done it simply sooner, say during the last balance patch where they admitted it needed tweaking

Because the longer they leave it unnerfed, the more people use it, the more they get reliant/addicted to it, and thus, the more people will get angry when it does get nerfed/changed.

Might be a hot take, but the DS never should have been given to Veteran and Zealot. It was more balanced on Psyker because of Psyker's squishiness and lack of talents to take advantage of DS's stats.
Once it gets nerfed, I'm willing to bet Vet/Zealot will just go back to Combat Knife like they did before. And then people will go back to complaining about the Combat Knife being meta again.

@full cypress I blocked him because of this behavior that’s proliferated in rule heavy community websites like Reddit where someone skirts along the edges of the rules guideline but is intentionally antagonistic and offensive within those bounds much as possible. Tagging a moderator is another characteristic of this behavior instead of just letting it smolder out. This behavior of “but I’m within the rules!” combined with an unnecessary urge to garner moderator favor (seems like trying to earn good favor to thread the line on the rules) toxifies communities when this behavior becomes common. The reasoning he chose to use contradicts himself in the first place with the “you don’t make the rules” to “too bad” (I do). Also the “everyone has their own headcannon. At face value a seemingly reasonable remark but it’s intentionally dense on purpose. I said “make this ‘canon’” with quotations to emphasize the point of this being unofficialized. Like the picture I’ve attached, there’s already common theme appearance in outside media on specific class + voice appearances. The intention on my post is to merely petition whatever the seer psykers becomes is less likely to be something seemingly bizarre and off putting like the fanatic zealot or loner psyker have. It’s not imposing on player base tastes in some way. I’m forwarding my hopes on this topic alone. I didn’t appreciate the community member’s immaturity in approaching the topic to me or trying to cover the insulting or imposing nature of his remarks. I tried to jostle back in a friendly way to turn the interaction to a playful disagreement rather than a battle of opposing wills. Again, I think tagging a moderator for such a minor interaction when there was obviously no rules breaking from either side may seem like an implied threat on his part (“I’m bringing the mods/“the mods are watching”) further cements my negative perception of this guy after this interaction. I was right to block him and anyone that behaves this way
