Clearly the prison ship, the Tancred Bastion which carried the Rejects, is from the past when the fall of Cadia was still recent but they were temporally displaced by the opening of the great rift and have been flung into the future where the current war on Atoma is taking place.

Interesting theory, and while its possible, its pure speculation as there is nothing in the game that suggest we have been flung into future by warp. We know for the fact that Morrow was the one who was in one of the Armaggedon wars and everyone make big deal of how old he actually. Surely, if we met such fate as rejects, someone would mention that in game.

Speculation though it may be, there is no other reasonable explanation for the presence of Primaris marine statues on Atoma. We could of course write this off as a design flaw on Fatshark's behalf, however there's similarly nothing to suggest this was indeed a mistake.
Furthermore, while it's true that Morrow is already exceedingly old, there are mentions of how warp travel can artificially extend someone's lifespan by the potential of time displacement, and considering the Major's storied combat history it's also not impossible to believe that he might have been affected by similar phenomenon, albeit in bits and pieces throughout his lifetime, rather than all at once as I proposed with the Rejects aboard the Tancred Bastion.
And while it's true that warp travel anomalies are a subject of intrigue, it's entirely possible that both A. no one really cares that a prison ship was flung 50 - 100 years into the future during a time of galactic upheaval, and B. why would it be anyone's priority to alert the prisoners aboard that a standard warp-jump actually took significantly longer than anticipated.

Ah, but there is group of people that would care about it and inquire about the fact our ship was thrown in warp anomaly that has projected us forward in time! Us, the players! Rejects have shown to have certain amount of initiative to learn about their situation. If Fatshark intention would be for us to be prisoners flung in to the future, surely we would be informed about it by idle conversations. The only explanation is that Fatshark slipped, perhaps they already had asset made and decided to use it without thinking about it. We have no evidence to think that we are displaced from time and other characters, who were not on the same prison ship also refer to events such as Guiliman return or great rift opening as recent news that they do not know much about either.

And we are informed that Morrow might be displaced in time, some rejects would eventually notice they are displaced from time and mention it. Additionally, the cutthroat veteran personality often refers to Cadia as their homeworld and he or she can't be that old.

Additionally, Indomitus Crusade is mentioned by the rejects one ocassion. And the lenght of it is actually unknown, as originally it was meant to last for 100 years, ending with Plague Wars, but in 2021 Black Library has changed this timeline, placing Plague Wars just 12 years after it started so that leaves us with around 12 years between opening of the great rift and Plague Wars, the supposed end of Indomitus Crusade. And I must say 12 years is not enough to repleace statues of venerable space marines with primaris marines.

If the intent is to make us not like her for some reason or another they did a good job. (I think she is at least an interesting character so far).
