I swapped from chainsword to devil's claw very recently in fact lol
sure, the chainsword can oneshot almost everything except the strongest enemies in the game depending on you using the right attack, but I was displeased with its horde clearing when I got into a seriously high risk scenario

I was soloing a chaos spawn for five minutes straight, dealing with specials and elites alike, then was left facing off a horde and got caught by a poxwalker mid-swing

I'm probably overthinking that whole scenario, but I wanted a differnet weapon after that lol

No I get that, it’s not easy to wave clear with it and the damage it offers is good but if you’re running veteran your main dps shouldn’t be your melee UNLESS it’s a melee build

Obv you can do whatever build you want, I think it all works equally as well

But the power sword is def top tier for clearing hordes. The cleave on it is just so helpful

Especially with the blessing that gives you extra charged attacks

the crusher's best part is its kit and how you use it is pretty important too
in this clip alone:

• charge into a push attack -> light -> heavy to finish off the bulwark
• smoothly convert from light spam to light -> heavy horizontal sweeps to deal with horde
• push attack mutants to stun them and throw them on the ground, works especially during their chain attacks

it's a thinking man's weapon, I love it to bits

you need to spend time in the psykhanium and try what works best against each enemy
