if they go on a trajectory that doesn't let them bounce of the walls or if they stay in the air for too long they just die
I believe it's possible to kill them if you interrupt them at the right time while they're in the air
Same is true for monsters that are able to jump into the air or when they're jumping off of ledges to pursue a target- IF you somehow knock them back the game will purge them
So if you use a heavy explosive and shoot a jumping chaos spawn it will just die
OF course yelling at chaos spawn with any shout that has aoe knockback will also kill it
