LMB is only stagger for a pack of ragers or a quick KF proc on something in front of you, wildfire will increase your range and help you need to maintain soulblaze less. plus, even if the horde only has 1 stack of soulblaze on it, shrieking on that 1 extra stack, bringing you to 7 instead of 6 is a 33% damage increase with that extra stack

empyric shock is pretty much only useful on an LMB heavy build, which, inferno is not

like everyone else said, when it comes to the flamer staff you’re going to be using your charged attack WAY more than your m1, and your main thing is AoE anyway so to undermine that by using your m1- which is very much not AoE- kinda defeats the purpose

also soulblaze is just such a funny DoT effect that wildfire is great simply by being able to keep it going against groups

Doesn't really matter what your peril is so long as it's under 97%.

I think it's super good but I also agree that it's fairly dangerous if you're using any warp attacks (staffs, BB) that can make you explode if they're cast above 97% since a hit can come in just before you click.

For me as an assail gunker it's perfect.

I'm not- I don't think psyker's abilities are particularly effective against the shield BUT melee is quite good, you just have to be careful against his attacks

every (melee) attack the captain has can be blocked just fine except for any where it looks like he's charging up for a while beforehand

Voidblast staff with rending and the shield is a great area denial

With empathic evasion and bare minimum melee skill (dodge/parry) you should really never be getting hit, therefore bubble is useless

Darktide is a fairly hard game and it does take a while to get used to all the weird little mechanics, psyker is a pretty squishy class until you get the toughness regen working right

On todays Episode of please make this build optimized/viable (auric/maelstrom edition):

Its a build i got from the community. The Idea is to use smite/soulblaze/shriek on low cooldown to weaken the enemy and then finish them off with force sword and autogun (the guy i got this build from used Agrippa braced). Original build idea used warp Siphon for quicker ability regen, i swapped it for EP to juice up the smite. If y'all had to optimize this build/idea, how would you do it?

Right, by the time I figured it out I was pretty deep in the zealot hole because of survivability options but now that I'm past the skissue phase other classes looking pretty good

not all of smite, melee shriek, with braced autogun (garbage), and EP on top of it

it lacks some very good talents and looks like you'd just use smite all the time because everything else is really bad
