Is all a ploy to sell Scum. Rotten armor comes back, resistant to melee and ranged? Well, scum has the best DoT in the game. Blight spreads? Corruption immunity ability. Final toll? 0.4 second dodge timer. And 2 of their grenades can instakill a ritual if aimed properly.

Imo Warp Nexus is always better. Penetrating Flame takes your soulblaze from 5% ADM on crushers to 25%. It is a 5x increase, but 150 damage per tick on a 10k HP crusher isn't gonna do much
Because crits apply an extra soulblaze stack
Better not to try to spec Inferno into armor killing imo. Abuse Uncanny or use a melee weapon for armor if your team isn't handling it
Otherwise, let them focus armor and you kill everything else

Penetrating flame is a source of brittleness that stacks with other sources, making it slightly better if you have a Thunderous ogryn or something. But it's still a team buff more than an Inferno buff

Heavy staggering a crusher gives it something like 6 seconds of stagger immunity once the animation ends. It's the same reason why I see a lot of trauma psykers get overheaded.

You can practice without empathic, but before range dodge linger it was still nice to have incase you cant slide well due to various reasons
I started using it and a couple times every few games id get benefit, but the benefit was like life vs death
I had a weird bug the other day regarding dodging
My game crashed, and when I reconnected, my dodge count said they were 4/4 or whatever, but the distance was comparable to -1 or lower
For the rest of the game
So I couldn't properly dodge or dodge slide
Also got stuck in a lot of attack animations

In the psykhanium, press special and shoot something 4 times. If it dies and things get staggered, you have the explody mark. If things are on DoT, you have the gas mark.

Toxin scum appears to be the strongest in my limited experience
take a single point cartel special stim, it has a cooldown of 15s. stims last 15s with the fast acting stims. place another crate on team when stim ready. repeat. walk on slime. get dogged. eaten by burgle. all safe to do, zero dmg taken.

How does base damage scale with toxin itself, is it still just a flat buff to it or does it scale it up more at high stacks
Its max effect depending on enemies being poisoned means they need to stay alive
I think it would be a lot more intuitive if it was a buff on killing a poisoned enemy or something

We have a talent for damage, another for damage reduction, another for toughness, another for kills, all related to poisoned enemies
I think one of the weirder things about that side is the extra blitz and stimm recharge
On their own, they have nothing to do with the small node that comes before them, for extra toxin damage
Depending on your build, it's entirely wasted
I think the issue is that Toxin is ridiculously strong without any modifiers
So they don't want to overload a single node and make it even better
The baseline power budget is so high that talents are weaker to compensate
Like D&D 5e's ranger (weak) and its subclasses (stronk)
You need basically nothing but maybe pickpocket for a needle pistol to be one of the best weapons in the game
Or they make it a split perk like some of vets or psyker talents where part of it is for how many enemies you have poisoned in real time and then a temp timed buff that triggers on poison kills and lasts a few seconds

Strongest EK build strikes again. I am unironically starting to like the EK more than Inferno in H40. The reason been EK lets you massacre specials/gunners at range with infinite "ammo" while the stun can hold off entire Crusher squad. This staff is obviously significantly weaker vs thick hordes compared to Inferno but so long as you have Shriek...

And yes, I am getting sick of people saying that inferno + bubble can't be outdamaged. Scum and EO Arby can do it easily enough. Vet can. Zealot can if they're good enough. Probably Oggy, but I don't see a lot of them lately. Any class or build that can kill things before your stacks scale.

I had a toxin scum nearly outdamage me in an H40 rot map. Was a trio, me, scum, shredder vet. Scum was like 2.1m damage to my 2.2m.
I think a decent toxin scum can challenge Inferno for damage output. Other classes, decent isn't enough to win.
There's also a lot of power in Burga's simplicity. Try as we might pretend we can just muscle memory everything or use macros, it does take more effort to use other builds which means less brain effort available for other things.
A good Arby, Vet, or Zealot can. But they're not gonna have an easy time.
I want to test my stuff in 40 more but I just don't have the willpower to deal with party finder. It just kills my will to play when I have to engage with it.
I'll invite you to H40s. Fair warning, I mostly just let in the first person who applies with a halfway decent build

I think RMB EK is the hardest staff to use well.
I don't mind losing at, it's actually kinda fun, problem is everyone scatters to the wind when they lose so back to party finder I have to go after every. Fucking. Mission. It's exhausting
And I haven't gotten 40 unlocked for this current reset cause I've been lazy so it's not like I can host my own 40s, just try and gamba on joining open 40s

Voidstrike is easy to use. It's just too weak for Havoc unless you're very, very good
Well, EK RMB is also pretty weak. Especially into Final Toll rotten crushers with like 15k effective HP and CC immunity
And the very nature of joining 40s when not at 40 means I'll never get to 40 myself, which I don't mind if it wasnt so hard to get into hosted 40s xP
I disagree, RMB EK only has to target important bois and dodge damage, pretty trivial. Voidstrike cares about positioning, kiting, ability timing, and weakspots
I tend to let in people with:
- Decent builds
- At least H30 clearance or a Havoc title
- Or if I know their name and know they're reliable
Voidstrike is only easy to use if you use it poorly

I've also just grown to dislike RMB EK. The playstyle doesn't feel very interesting or dynamic. Feels bad in H40s against hordes. EK is, for me, a sidearm for FGS or an LMB machine gun.
That either you do all those 4 things well enough that they seem easy to you vs. targetting elites/specials, or you need to up your Voidstrike skills 
The most dynamic staff is probably Voidstrike, but it's not fun to sink 5 RMBs into a single crusher only for it to keep coming.
Especially when each one is like a 1.6 second charge time
Just play Sedition 
or whatever the lowest difficulty is called now
Target priority is easy enough. Aiming is where I struggle, especially when enemies start zigzagging or changing targets.

I enjoyed original rmb and lmb spam specifically because my ADHD ass brain enjoyed manual quell canceling, but they got rid of it, now it's just clicking lmb and I've lost all interest in spam builds. It even kinda killed my obsession with fire trauma now that I don't have getting better at quell canceling to shoot for, now it's a hard ceiling you reach and then stay there
But missing with Voidstrike means you're out 1.6 seconds with nothing gained whatsoever
So what you're saying is Voidstrike should be homing like assail.

Coru used to be good but now it's fine. It got nerfed and no longer scales with some power bonuses

- Shotgun
- Beam
- Fireball
- Sticky flames/lingering flames/no-go zone (like goop gun or sticky flames in DRG)
- Support debuffer (debuff enemies somehow, like a Nuncio in a stick)

I think everything in Darktide, other than the skill trees, is more starved than VT2. Maps are less exciting and have copy+pasted objectives, for example.
And I honestly feel the skill trees are unnecessarily complicated in a way that makes balance all but impossible.

The little ball is a good LMB for EK because it pairs beautifully with the inherent crit chance

An easy one to me: due to the game's nature of generalist builds being preferable, staves would need to be competent weapons on their own
I would enjoy EK RMB being a hitscan beam. To use D&D terms, something like "All enemies in a 5 foot wide line"
I understand the appeal for specialized staves, but I don't think they would feel good with how random quickplay can be and how, even in a specialized team, not everyone can do their specialized tasks all the time
I remember trying out some specialized builds in the past, and they all reinforced my trust in generalists
I don't wanna be caught with my pants down against any enemy
I don't mind not being terrific at the task, but I do mind sucking at it
I end up taking that as a core pillar of my life, actually: I don't need to like something, I just need to not dislike it
So the weapons I dislike are the weapons I'm sending to the moon on the next Elon Musk rocket

I think they must have issues with project managers or producers or team leads. Management in general.

The designers are obviously skilled, passionate people. The mechanics are deep and leave a lot of room for skill expression.

Anyone know if kinetic flayer has synergy with empowered blitz, I've assumed not but never got a solid answer
Uses the damage profile of an EP BB but does not consume a stack
so quite good actually if you're using kinetic flayer a lot but rarely using the blitz itself

Guess what KF procs on
Elites and specials
It refreshes itself and if it does hit something else you have 2 other stacks
And EP BB already killed elites in 1 shot so it's not being wasted

If it's ogryn melee seed and you get spammed crushers you might lose your stacks depending on your playstyle
