You still explode and take corruption damage with it. You just don't go down from exploding. CW (crystalline will) also shortens the "I'm gonna explode" animation.

They can both build soulblaze stacks but they build the same number which has the same limit so it's diminishing returns, you're just hitting the cap faster

Honestly, none of the psykers hexes are particularly rivetting. They are all functional for what they are, but that is it. The one i liked the most so far is smite, just because i love to cosplay as emperor plapatine. Thats about it, thats the depth i put into thinking/using the hexes.

EK staff, you typically want to run venting shriek to help with horde clear and peril management. EK generates a lot of peril very quickly and can be difficult to keep track of in higher diffs when everything's going crazy
