Unironically, it is pretty terrible Boss DPS without EP or KR, and both of those buffs aren't a great use of talent points and don't last long enough
BB is only good Boss DPS for the very, very short time frame you have those buffs. The rest of the time, Inferno and EK, and even Voidstrike if you can aim, beats the pants off BB.

Test VB RMB distance at around 18m in the meat grinder. At that distance you can fiddle with flicking your aim up while casting to extent your range. Think of RMB as an orb vs a flat circle.
Also, be warry of stairs and grating.

Crits apply 2 stacks instead of 1, which means Inferno really loves crits for stacking soulblaze. It's only a 20% chance, but that's versus 20% brittleness which doesn't help a huge amount against everything but crushers, and doesn't help enough against crushers when it's alone
PF does stack with other brittleness tho
