There's not much leakage. Most common issue is probably the pump just not working.

You generally need to be using DD for it to feel good

Inferno, Trauma, and EK are all vastly easier to use. Voidstrike needs to do things like hit weakpoints and charge precisely so you can avoid overcharging and wasting time on targets you could kill sooner.

Voidstrike is a jack-of-all-trades as long as you can line up the horde or bring a horde clear melee (though, you might then lack boss damage if you can't reliably hit the weakspot), so that should be fine.
