So I’ve completed the “try the combat styles” part of mortis and I now understand the purpose of the mode and why it is in sefoni: this is the last stage of the tutorial and is focused on teaching the noobs how to play objectives and how to handle the specials

It's pretty much up to you. 8 has a little better cleave. 6 has stronger single target.

I mean, I have three 6s and they're on my presets, and I have one 8 that I sometimes play with for a change or reassessment.

It mostly sits at only EK staff for me. The other staffs handle horde well enough. (I use the 6 with voidstrike)

Man, the 6s stab is insane though. No need to push attack either. Just stab for double damage compared to the overhead.
