All the stats just point to it being like, the immobile juggernaut class

Peril can't overflow to make you pop. For example, assail generates 10% per dart, or 25% if you aim it. As long as you are at 99% or below, you can throw a dart and not pop.

Also yeah shriek allows you to stop perils of the warp if you are mid animation.

But it costs you psykinetic aura, so you lose a lot of bubble and Shriek. (some scrier's, but not nearly as much.)

There's not a Meta one, but the tree is quite flexible, so it doesn't really change much.

The biggest downside is that assail wants DD the most then ep/charges, but purge demands charges.

When I was trying assail with trauma I would use assail on gunner packs. But I think EK is better for that

Assail clears horde. EK sucks at horde. That's where your use is.

Charge ek doesn't have a ton of range, so assail covers sniping there.

You normally wouldn't take them together, but if you do, that's how you'd use them.

I prefer assail with guns so I can use them in place of ammo and use the guns for sniping or burn/bleed.

And melee/guns let's you use MM for free stacking damage when weaving between the two. Plus assail likes DD, and so do guns and melee. Still costs you psykinetic, but there's just so much synergy there.

You can make most things work on psyker, so if you really want to do purge/assail, you do you. Just take a minute and think about common scenarios and how you respond.

5 ragers. Generic horde. 5 crushers. 5 gunners.

And monster.

Assail purge have a lot of overlap there, but you can find uses for both separately.

Honestly the cleave is whats always nice with assail especially with warp splitting

Never really used assail until recently and its odd to say the least. Its a fun shift from always running BB and Smite

But I always catch others using it with Scriers Gaze due to the stacking with Warp Splitting

Assail/FGS/Inferno is a fun combo imo. Warp Splitting benefits both assail and FGS nicely. Great for outrageous close range damage with some ability to engage distant foes.

I always just glossed over peril based blessings/buffs on the force swords when I started off but then I noticed some others started intentionally charging force swords to raise peril for warp nexus

It made me really understand how dope the push can be. It has a surprisingly long range on the single target push

With inferno staff it's almost a no brainer. Just not sure what I'd want to give up for it. This particular setup ive been doing Aurics with more than havocs, so its a little more damage oriented
